I'm a trained chef. Everything in this video is legit. The cooking technique is called Braising. And cast iron is amazing and has additional health benefits such as micro dosing iron into the food. Love the channel!
ОтветитьHey you are beautiful.
ОтветитьWOW!!!! I will never make roast in the crockpot again!! I cannot believe how much more tender and overall tasty this is over the crockpot method.
ОтветитьLooks good
ОтветитьI've made your recipe several times, but usually have thin, light colored Auju, not rich and dark like yours. Help please 🙂
ОтветитьCan anybody tell me if they ever freeze The Leftovers? And if they are still good after warming up the frozen cooked leftovers?
ОтветитьJust like my Mama made it. She did the most wonderful, wonderful chicken roast, turkey, lamb etc. This is only way she ever cooked meat, in her cast iron pot which a lid. Coming from the farm which is not that surprising...anyways also loved your version... Greetings from Sunny South Africa...😊😅😂.
ОтветитьTime to deport this person to Russia or North Korea. Im sure ypu be welcomed by those dictators.
Ответитьdoes Larry work in a metal workshop? shavings on his eye lid and shirt
ОтветитьI was wondering what temp the oven was on? If you said I didn't catch it. Thanks
ОтветитьI've had a lot of success with your recipes. Your cooking technics have allowed me to save money on cuts of meat. The flavor and variety are there, and make the diet very enjoyable to do.Great job. Your one of my go toos now. ;-)
Ответитьso cool looks deeelious
I am heading 2 hours away to see my grandson and am going to make this for my daughter and her family can't wait
My mom made her chuck roast similar to this method but she added a package of ONION SOUP MIX. She made in on a Sunday where she put in in the oven before we went to church and pulled it out three hours later ....I dream of those roasts.
ОтветитьI'm making this today!! Can't wait
ОтветитьI made some yesterday…..divine!!
ОтветитьLooks like I have a new way to cook chuck! Thanks!
ОтветитьLove this! Cast iron does make everything better
ОтветитьMade it last night. Excellent!
Ответить4 ingredients the bacon fat you can’t count. It’s just braised steak everyone have been doing it for years my great grandma did it nothing new
ОтветитьCan't use pepper?
ОтветитьWhat the baking soda does. is open up the pours in them meat. when you risen if off in warm water OPEN ALL THE WAY UP. Waiting to soak in the flavors When you put it on the fire the pour will close keeping the meat tender and juice. When it done let it rest about 30 min then the pour will open back up releasing some juices 👉👉IT will be the most tender, juicy, and delicious roast, you ever at
Ответить1st of all make a HEAVY baking soda brine. Put the roast in the brine in baggie, push all the air out, set it in the frig, over night. risen off good in warm water. pat dry. Then lot of melted butter all over it. Then the 1st seasoning is beef bouillon, 2nd garlic, 3rd salt, 4th black pepper. what ever else you may like👉👉 like mesquite rub ect ect. Then let it hang out for about a hour. to soak in the seasonings. Then i like to smoke it heavy in onion smoke. Then flame broil it. Then put it in foil about the last hour
ОтветитьYep, there's nothing like bacon grease and meat fat to help lower those calories!
Ответитьthankyou from Australia , we do the same but use french onion soup instead of water , delicious
ОтветитьFor my small household, I used an under-a-pound hunk of chuck in an 8-in skillet. Adding one cup of water made for delicious meat but only gave me a few tablespoons of the succulent juice. My advice is to NOT scale down the water at the same ratio as the meat. Next time I'll try my 1-pounder in a 10-in skillet and fill slightly more than halfway up the sides of the roast. The au jus adds a lot. Simple recipes like this should go in everyone's repertoire. Many thanks!
ОтветитьDefinitely going to try this recipe this week. I've been using the instantpot for the chuck roast. It comes out ok but this looks amazing!!!
ОтветитьStupid fake Italian BS at least learn a couple words so you don't look stupid
ОтветитьI made this today and it is Incredible!
Ответитьgreat pot roast
fork-seoparate and eat on a kaiser roll with some of the gravy and ketchup - life doesn't get better
1-14/24 Chuck roast now cost 3.5 times more under Bidenomics. I freaking just paid $25 for one that 3 years ago cost $8. Insane. Please stop voting for corrupt politicians.
ОтветитьChaotic carnivore sent me.
ОтветитьHi cassie and larry!! My roomates and I made this amazing recipe and did a video review on it for our channel! Thank you so much for everything that you do for the carnivore community! We are very happy to be a part of it with people like you in it!
ОтветитьHi, sounds great! What's the oven temp you're cooking it on? Thanks.
ОтветитьHow are your cholesterol levels on this diet?
ОтветитьTry the same thing with bone-in pork ribs!
Ответить350 degrees
ОтветитьOmg. Omg.
ОтветитьI love the pizza pan lid 👍🏼
ОтветитьLow carb is what worked very well for me. I like meat but not sure I could eat only that.
ОтветитьYou both are amazing people, beautiful inside and out and never stop this challenge to a healthy life
ОтветитьI can not help it I need to add Rosemary, pepper, beef broth (instead of water) and maybe some garlic near the end. However I did have some Chuck Roast this way cooked by a neighbor. It was the best. Not sure why I can't create the same process ( lame-o). Fall back on spices so I won't be dissapointed.
ОтветитьLove your roast. It looked delicious. When I was a kid my mom cooked her roast like you did but the last hour she’s would add potatoes and carrots. When time to eat. She would slice the roast for us and serve on a platter. Made a wonderful gravy with the liquid left in the pan. Wonderful Sunday dinner. Do you ever serve it sliced instead of tearing it all apart? ❤
ОтветитьI just tried your chuck roast recipe. For the very first time, I have the beef dish that I have been looking for. This really satisfies. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьAll is great here.. add a packet of Lipton Onion soup mix with the water, and it will get even more delicious.
ОтветитьI have never seen a roast like that! Wow! We have an electric stove too so I never caught what temperature you had the top on when searing? I did hear the 300 in the oven for 3 hours. We are going to try this! Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьI am gonna make it and yes I am going to have mashed potatoes with it.
ОтветитьI would never eat that, plant-based please!
ОтветитьJust add hot water to that hot pan and no boil over!!
ОтветитьI just got a beautiful thick chuck toast from my butcher. It has a beautiful eye and this will do it justice. I cook everything in my most loved cast iron. I have a dozen different sizes for every occasion. Thanks.
