Brother if you are worried about getting oil on ur hands. Don’t bother doing the oil change. You can do the same thing by getting it loose and spinning it once really quick and the filter will fall off if you did it right. Drain plug too. Or just swap ur gloves like bruh that’s why ur wearing em

Now do this on a honda with a side mounted filter near the wheel

That technique deteriorates the rims fast. You've have to retread after five oil changes tops.

Problem with this technique, if you got a incorrect filter, youd be stuck, rather than rinsing with diesel and installing it again

Make sure loosen it before you doing that

You would have to be very careful about how hard you strike it
wouldn't want to dislodge or bend the threads but could be easy with a sharp punch

Been there, done that. Glad I looked at the filter area soon after I started the engine. Oil everywhere, kinda like Old Faithful.
