Not that Epic IMO... Captain beat very basic nothing compared to XO, or other beat programs... Many bugs specially with recording, they added 1M of sounds when I doubt nobody will use it as a synth (lack of parameters).... No swing...time between updates way too long...

the cool thing is they use kilohearts synth...I have Orb Producer 3 and it sound mediocre.

great vid, thx. I don´t use it really but will definitely go for the upgrade at such low price :-). Same thoughts here: why do they invest in sounds if most use other professional sounds inside the DAW?

They haven’t done anything with captain beat Epic yet besides the name. I rarely use it because its pretty lackluster. The rest of the suite has some useful changes. I don’t always write tracks with melodies or chords but when i do its a good choice. Their selection of chords in genres is a little skimpy(I like the idea) but it has some decent starting points. Im not sure why they spent anytime adding to the internal sounds. I would never use any of the internal sounds in my tracks BUT they’re great for sketching out tracks. I always export out the midi and use my vst synths. I see you can now use some vst’s internally so might give that try depending on CPU hit.

This is a great demo. I bought Captain Chords when it first came out, but never really used it. I’m kinda convinced that the improvements make it a good jumpstart for ideas and inspiration. Just got the upgrade, so will revisit. Thanks so much, for this helpful overview and tips!

And obtw, I just purchased my Captain Epic Upgrade.

Seems AI will be great for getting something started when you're stuck... that was so easy and fast and that last melody was nice! Although would like to see it make something techy and darker... if it can. cheers :)
