Which software is used for VFX?

Adobe has been used in major motion pictures. The Force Awakens was nominated for an Oscar and after effects was used in the film. Not to as used as nuke, it's pretty well used in movies for visual effects!

How do yougettgese softwares.

i think for modeling, it is a little bit tricky, but Blender is great for modeling/animation

I feel bad for people having to use 3ds max, maya is bearable but max is a piece of total garbage.

I’ve got a question. I’m just getting started in film, and I want 2 learn VFX, but I’m running on a low budget, but still want 2 work with high quality stuff. I read on Unreal Engine’s website that their software is used in the film industry. My question is: 1. Does this check out, 2. How hard will it b, and 3. Would I need any supplementary software in order 2 finish the process if Unreal is even capable of doing this at all?
