I would be satisfied buying items from the first factory because it looked a a LOT better than videos I've seen of Shein! I wouldn't even accept free products from them aftèr seeing how they treat their staff! Countries should ban ALL imports from that company and ALL other companies that are found to be treating staff as they do! It's a case of the rich getting richer off the backs of the poor! It's bad enough in Western countries, but countries that allow these companies to send products from countries like this should be named and shamed ... and the governments in the importing countries should be putting an automatic tax on those items ... just as they add GST & VAT on imported products fromthose countries, add a labour safety tax, and an environmental tax.... because the cost to the planet for water to grow cotton & the petroleum used to make the synthetics is a blight on the environment, especially when these items are so cheap that often they are thrown out after only 1 or 2 wears at most, and often, they still have the price tags on them! This is ruining the environment and it's makiing virtual slaves out of the workers!!

I'm surprised by how much is still manual labour. I can't imagine these safety conditions being allowed in Australia, but it's also the reason why China, etc can sell in bulk & so cheaply into Western countries. 😢 I noticed someone complaining about the working conditions but I'll bet they still bargain for the cheapest prices. I choose not to buy clothing at the big chains such as Kmart because of the working conditions and the pollution when items are so cheap that people throw them away after 1 or 2 wears ... plus the waste of resources such as all the water used to grow cotton crops... just so that people can throw them away because they are so cheap to buy so have no value to them... but they ignore the true cost of them to the planet, labour rights and poor workplace conditions. I'd like to see an environment tax on all of these items and a higher minimum selling price so that countries with proper safety standards and living wages for the staff ... and open up opportunities to Australian companies that have to compete with those other countries. I'd rather pay more for something that i know is basically 'fair trade' in our own country, than see cheap imports with all of their drawbacks. Once these Asian countries know that they are going to lose business because of these issues, maybe they will lift their game and treat their workers better ... and also sell their items at the true cost they are to the environment!
