Such an old story. Man EASILY has the technology to conquer everest. With boring machines alone we could tunnel to the top...FACT. However some desperately want to get out of the body as it is the ultimate trap and so this and other things will always remain in vogue.

Do sherpas get paid good for what they do? I keep seeing ppl say it costs tens of thousands to do this climb and just wonder if these ppl get compensated well

What I can tell you is that if I was crossing this and someone yelled "Don't get scared!", I'd DEFINITELY get scared.

There's nothing on this earth that could convince me to climb Everest. And to think, those who try are all quite wealthy. Wealthy enough to spend at least a year training, traveling and preparing for this. Nah, i'm good. I'm not going into space, i'm not climbing Mt. Everest, and i'm not diving to see the Titanic. I'll stay right here at sea level with a cocktail in my hand and the sun shining on my face.
