Spraying the WD40 down the tube would do nothing. You'd have to put very little on the inside spindle itself, and watch your yarn wouldn't get affected.

I think a little crochet sleeve around the holder may reduce that noise. Even the clued piece of foam or something would do the trick, but a crochet sleeve seems neater. 🙂

However, I crochet in my recliner & so I'd need to put it on the floor & don't think it will work better than what I'm currently doing for the flow of yarn. Looking at the base legs of the dress form...I'm thinking, how cool would it be to have the double oval yarn holder made into a side table stand next to the bed LOL.

The big single yarn minder is great for bulky to super bulky weight cakes of yarn. I don’t care for the double one for myself. I clearly saw the difference in height between the two posts before you used your wanna be plumb bob there. 😅

ETA: Waddya mean this one ia for cakes? They are ALL for yarn cakes, that is their entire purpose. My yarn bas never gotten caught between the layers on my handcrafted maple one I've had for years.

These are the greatest invention made. I bought 2 of the single yarn spinner & love them. I am interested in the single you bought with the paws. Does it fall over? BTW, I love your bloopers❤😂

I love mine without bear ears but I put a small strip of Velcro and I stick it to different surfaces. Works like a charm no more falling over.

Does your yarn get stuck on the one with too much space under the wheel? Oh hell yes it does. Annoying, so that's why I got one of those suspension ones like you have. I am curious about the review of the other ones though. Can't wait for you to try them! Especially the teddybear shaped one. Interesting!

For me, I didn't have any trouble with sound while I was using it (with the yarn on the holder). Even if you can crochet super fast, it's not going to spin that fast.
My favorite is the hanging yarn holder. I even use mine in bed with no issues (as long as my cat doesn't sit on it). I like the double hanging holder. Might have to order one of those.

lol love the blooper! I have the double, not magnetic, with just two spindles. Do not like it coz there is space in between the spindle and base and the yarn gets caught on it. If you crochet as fast as you are spinning those, you're super woman! I'm sure you won't hear it with normal crochet. I've tried two different ones now from Amazon and they both have to go back because the shaft isn't tall enough to hold a skein upright. The top drooped. So, I bit the bullet and went for a Barva holder. A bit more pricey, but the rods are 10 inches tall so it'll hold a skein. How long are those rods on the double holder? Thanks for sharing your findings!

Hi! I have a small one with a gap between the spindle and base. The yarn gets caught in there all the time so it’s frustrating to use. I would like to try the wide based counter sunk one. I use a lot of chenille and blanket yarn. Can never find the center pull on these so a spinner might help. I found the larger based one on Amazon for 20usd. I may just order it. Thanks for the review. It sure was thorough!😊
