These guys may get between £1,500 to £2,000 per day (24 hours = 1 days pay, starting exactly from the minute they clock in to leave base and fly out to the dive rig, until they arrive back at base and clock out. ).
So they have 4 days compression, 28 days diving, 4 days decompression, and about 1 day total flying in and out.
So, depending on the conditions, difficulty of the dive, and depth they work at, they get between:

Then, they have to take a mandatory 54 days off and not go near a scuba set, so, this amount has to last them for approximately 3 months.
This is a lot of money to earn, but for me, there is absolutely no way I would, or could for that matter do this job, and I think they earn every single penny, cent, dime or yen of it. This is literally my worst nightmare come true - total darkness apart from a torch light, big, giant creatures you don't know, swimming around you, and if anything goes wrong, that's it, so long and thanks for the fish.
Much respect to the guys who can actually do it though, they are brave men indeed.
