Good old Gordon....I'm sure he could'nt agree with what happened to the Joker, since he too has a moral code like Batman. But can you blame him in covering up the Jokers murder? A psychotic individual who constantly robbed, murdered, hurt, destroyed, and tortured many individuals. All for the Jokers amusement, and to finally break the Batman. Plus Gordon is a father, so for a child like Tim Drake who had to kill a monster to save his father, he had sympathy for him. Plus Gordon and Batman knew that they had to keep the Jokers murder a secret for many reasons, even if it tainted them all for many years to come.
Ответитьwhy does it say damn instead of Tim
ОтветитьA genius as Joker warns Batman in the double meaning "Eye on the other hand" in Italian does not render, they translated it as "I have courage to spare!"
ОтветитьI'll always appreciate how much this story respects its audience, never sanitizing itself or talking down to them. Kids can handle much more than we often give them credit for.
ОтветитьWe need this joker back.
Ответитьthis is why you should've just killed him batman
ОтветитьIt's never funny when it wasn't Batman who didn't kill the Joker
ОтветитьIf tim drake becomes joker junior in This version in the comic's jason todd becomes robin then gets killed by joker and comes back to life as red hood while tim drake became 3rd robin before he became red robin and he had a love interest named Stephanie brown also no as the spoiler and the cluemasters kid
Ответить'it's over batman you've lost' and this isn't just referring to the fight he's lost the war the joker has gained the final victory
Ответитьthe joker had set out to start a legacy but now he will never get to have it
ОтветитьThe Scar and the Cringe
ОтветитьWhen he says “That’s not funny…that’s not” you could hear his tone that he was drowning as his lungs were filling with Blood
ОтветитьPoor kid
ОтветитьWhat joker did to Tim Drake is crueler than what he did to Jason Todd. Even Jason would have rather be beaten to death than this. I am not saying either fate is better but being turned into a joker junior seems worse than death.
ОтветитьHonestly, this was not nearly as traumatizing as seeing Robin being psychologically, broken and transformed
ОтветитьWhat makes this scene sadder is that Joker did win in the end. While it's true he died by his own hand and creation, the Joker managed to do what every other Batman villain couldn't do; break the bat. Joker made Batman break his rule and wanted to kill him. Joker took someone Batman cared for and turned him against him. Keep in mind too that Batman was with the Justice League and after losing Tim like this, it drove Batman into total recluse and shutting out others; which included him leaving the Justice League and becoming a loner again. The war was over, but Joker won in the end and managed to break Batman mentally.
Ответить"Behind all the sturm and batarangs, you're just a little boy in a play suit, crying for mommy and daddy."
This quote doesn't get spoken about enough. Joker really couldn't stoop any lower than that. Probably one of the most (if not, THE most) personal thing he's ever said to Batman. Gives me shivers every time.
The things Tim must have experienced in those three weeks I can't even imagine and the fact that this all happened to him while he was just a kid makes it so much worse.
ОтветитьIn this final moment, the Joker finally got it: it was never funny.
ОтветитьOne of the greatest Batman moments in animation.
ОтветитьIt was fun and a joke for him to push innocent people into Death's cold embrace or to a tea part with her, but once someone pushed him instead...
Ответитьok
ОтветитьI love the absolute… psychotherapy angle to robin here… its so amazing detailed. The way he has to bite his lip to overide his programming then you can see his training as robin, his programing as junior and just the overall will and spunk that made him a candidate to be robin in the first place all slowly being overcome by the horror of the fact its all finally over he can’t be hurt anymore. I’m 100 percent sure he doesn’t even realize in the moment what the pain being over really means for consequences
ОтветитьIf Batman just killed Joker years ago then Robin never would have gotten kidnapped. Plus, Batman's identity never would have been exposed. The batcave never would have been found by Joker and Tim Drake never would become Joker. Here Batman was probably pissed he didn't kill him years ago.
ОтветитьWasn't there a version where the Joker was electrocuted?
ОтветитьIt would be so funny if it werent pathetic….oh what the heck ill laugh anyway😂😮😂
ОтветитьThis is exactly why taking children to fight crime is the worst idea anyone can have! and this is tremendously disturbing, as it shows that the joker really has no limits, as he even commits his atrocities against children!
ОтветитьDefinitely prefer the uncut version of this sequence bc we see why Bruce uses a cane and Tim outright kills Joker whereas it's just an accident in the edited version.
It's my favorite version of Joker's death in Batman media.
This scene traumatized me as a kid, no joke.
ОтветитьR.I.P. Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇😭😭😢😢😢
ОтветитьPoor Tim
ОтветитьIronic how disappointed Joker is about Batman’s true identity 😂 not sure who he would’ve guessed it was but still
ОтветитьThis Is Unforgivible If Batman DID Kill Joker He Would Be 100% The Hero
ОтветитьYou would've done it years ago. Alluding to Jason Todd.
ОтветитьJust seeing Tim becoming a mini joker was definitely heartbreaking for Bruce but once he seen Tim pull the trigger on the joker he knew Tim was dead on the inside but refusing him to be robin again Shii I would’ve done the same thing bcuz there’s no tellin what else could happen
Ответитьbatman’s sigh of relief after the joker is defeated just speaks so many layers. he doesn’t kill but even he is glad that the joker is finally dead and buried once and for all. unlike batman’s other villains the joker was the pure embodiment of the evil (at least the bruce timm version of the character) of Gotham. truly the only foe of batman to truly push him over his limits. but the joker never won, he never made him break that one rule, and the most ironic thing about the jokers demise is that it was at his own hands. but yeah i just love that batman moment. it’s a small detail but it’s so powerful.
ОтветитьI always wondered in the comics or other Elseworlds stories did they ever mentioned this happening to Tim?
ОтветитьTo think this clip alone is way more mature than some 'adult' animation like Castlevania. No useless swearing, no edginess, just pure horror. The dialogue from the Joker is ten times more terrifying than whatever Death was in Castlevania
And it’s a childroons animated show
"Tim..."
ОтветитьMy heart breaks when Batman cries “Tim.” You can just feel the guilt in his voice from seeing his son after being tortured and destroyed by the Joker.
ОтветитьHands down greatest scene in Batman lore! 🎉
ОтветитьI remember Robin killing him in a completely different way 🤨
Nevermind, just found it. There are two different versions.
