Why didn’t you compare it to a camera in its segment? A fairer comparison than the A7SIII or the Sony FX-6 is the Sony FX-9 which is $11,000 like the Canon C 300 is.

What are your settings in sharpness for clog2 in xavc?

I find that the default setting, especially together with the 18-80 is sometimes a bit too much for me. Of course depending on what you shoot. - 10 is sharp enough in most cases and leaves room for sharpening, but sometimes seems a bit too soft to me, with less contrast. Maybe I should just make it -5. :-D

What else bothers me is that Canon has not integrated a digital bubble level here. I mean the gyro data is available after all!

Why couldn’t you add a v-mount battery on a C70?

I have the Zcam E2 M4 and I love it - don't use it enough but it is such a lovely camera Though the Sensor in this being in the C70 is SUch a love proposition that I am temted to switch especially since it should be getting raw now too

You had me convinced, all the way up until you said the image of the FX6 wasn't as good as a C300 image. That's just not even close to being a true statement at all, I think that it is what we, myself included, tell ourselves to help us feel better about our investment. Outside of that blatant lie, great review!!

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for to ease my concerns about investing so much in this after all the recent releases - it's all about IQ, DR, ergos and yeah, perhaps unfortunately, but the qudos and status of a beefy Canon on set is massively reassuring to any client paying decent €€€

I find it hard to believe you had focus issues on the C300. When I had my C200 on a gimbal I never had hunting like you showed in the video. I would check your settings or try a different technique.

Great video Damien. Using the c70 I can tell you the image out of the sensor is amazing and pairs well with my c500 mark ii. However, client perception out of the c70 definitely is missing and also the body isn't as good for rigging it up. Glad to hear about your experience with the c300 mark iii!

I love everything about my C300III's, except for the image detail. I'm used to true 4K via a super sampled 5.9k super sampled readout.
If the image gets a bit wide, I really miss that level of detail. I can also see it here in your video. The images of the c300III look fantastic while the images taken with the C300III look good, but not as detailed.
