Pouring Clorox bleach down the drain usually does the trick on stoppage clearing.

I dont believe this. You didn't show that it worked. And you had the drain closed that why the water didn't go down in the beginning.

This method is used by jackleg plumbers only actually they're not plumber they are jacked legs

I normally just fill a 5 gallon bucket with hot or boiling water & dump that in, the pressure of the extra water pushes out the clog.

Works well for clogged toilets too but the water doesn't need to be hot or boiling.

What also works is filling your sink with hot water and a bit of dish soap once and a while then let is drain fast. Dish washer machines and people who like to just wash a few dishes with the water dribbling causes a lack of flushing pressure of the drain. Stop it before it happens.

Dawn is best for this. It has special grease killers. It’s the only thing they use to clean animals if there’s a oil spill near or in water.

UNCLOG DRAIN I USE COFFEE GROUND FROM SINKS TO BATHTUB. AFTER COFFEE POT DONE SAVE THE GROUND.

Pour 2 -4 cups of bleach b4 bed. Cover the drain so you avoid the bleach odor. Next morning, boil up a nice medium pot of water. Pour it down. Problem solved.

Lots of people mentioning boiling water. You should not use boiling water if you have pvc pipes! They can melt

You’d be hard pressed to beat a pasta bowl of boiling hot water, it works for showers/kitchen sinks..etc just be careful not to go too hot with porcelain/stainless/plastic sinks/tubs.

What do you do when the pipe itself is clogged? I cleaned out the trap, looked at the pipe and it's clogged with gunk.

thanks this method really worked on my shower hair clog! All I had to do was bail the water out of the shower into the toilet put the soap into the drain waited 20 minutes used hot water and a little bit of plunging and away went troubles down the drain!

Learned this last night. It doesn't work. Spent hours cleaning a drain pipe in the bathroom (sink). I used an auger I bought at Canadian Tire for $20.00. It worked, eventually. My full bathroom sink empties in 15 seconds now.

Works well on baby wipes discarded down the toilet too

Nothing will work for very long, except for taking the drain apart and cleaning it out thoroughly. That’s how you get it flowing. The hot water and baking soda and all those other techniques are just temporary and only get it flowing for a short period of time but it’s soon plugs up again. At least that’s what I have found.

Is this guy drunk???? That DOES NOT WORK!!!! I tried it, TWICED at that and only got a sink full of hot water. Still had to call a plumber and it cost my A## $285. Those ppl who know nothing about it should just shut up and stop making VIDEOS.......UGH!!

I saw a video debunking the vinegar and baking soda, they basically created a typical kitchen sink drain pipe set up with a p-trap,They also set this up like a demo so that at all times the audience could see everything that was being done it didn't work twice in a
row then they demonstraded with a clear clogged up pipe the vinegar and soda did nothing more than cause bubbling did absolutely nothing to break up or clear clog. I also tried using boiling water and nothing.

it happens to my bathroom sink all the time, so I actually use baking soda with white vinegar, but I guess I could try with the dishwashing liquid soap🤷‍♀

What if both sinks are clogged? We can still use dishwashing soap and wait till it unclogged? Any other ideas?

Boiling water has always worked for me, and if that doesn't work a HAMMER always will

Here is what actually works. Pour as much baking soda as you can manage to stuff the drain. Then pour a crap load of white vinegar into it. Watch it fizz. when it stops fizzing, pour more vinegar down drain again. Repeat vinegar until it stops fizzing. If vinegar backs up and won't drain add more baking soda. If it is draining fairly well run the hot water down drain. Then repeat baking soda vinegar process again. This method is completely safe for you and pipes. should actually be done regularly to keep drain clear and odor free.
