I mean if I buy a thermal scope I will use it for hunting for food but the main reason why I would buy one is for when all hell breaks loose in America, because I'm going to need to defend my property & everything I own !! Because creeps , & thiefs always come out at night !!

I would really like to hear some opinions. I want to get a night scope I’m aiming toward thermal but I’m concerned about quality. I can only afford something around 1000. I keep seeing bad things about atn. I’m looking at the agm rattler ts25-256. I’m wondering if I’d be better off with a digital nv since my budget is only 1000. The quality of nv seems much better around 1000 than the quality of thermals at that price. Best night scope for mid range around $1000??

I think the review is of minimal value because you haven't tested some of the Scopes and you're not giving the important details like how much does it weigh does it have a good battery situation by that I mean avoiding the 123 and most of all price. I like to hear someone justify the prices that are being charged. Is it mainly because they can get away with it?

You said you didn't like the CR123 batteries in the Yoter and I don't blame you there. Bering Optics has a battery extension so you can use 2 each 16650 rechargeable batteries and get hours of night hunting without changing batteries in the dark. I use it and instead of 2 to 3 nights of hog hunting on a set of 123's, I get 20+ nights of hunting if I use a thermal spotter. I hunt with the Super Hogster.

Where do you get the battery extender for the iray bolt to run 18650 batteries?
