I see what Kishimoto did. The lightning mask happened to be the one to save Kakuzu which automatically gave him a handicap against the rasengan. Imagine if the fire mask had sacrificed itself instead. Kakuzu might have beaten naruto

I'm really disappointed with his role in the war. Maybe we could've gotten Tenten vs Kakuzu. Way to utilize underutilized characters.

Tenten is probably not that strong, but she was using those OP Sage weapons back then (at the cost of consuming a lot of her chakra), so I think that evens their odds. Would've been a thrilling fight of stamina.

I get why kabuto wasnt able to revive hidan (cant revive those who're alive), but why not konan and kisame?

Maybe kisame's body was to mauled by sharks, but why not konan?

i think it would have been smart to give Kakuzu Hidans heart since it was immortal which would in turn make Kakuzu immortal

he is just bad ass.. I was supporting him on his fight with kakashi and the others..they should've atleast made him kill someone or hurt everyone badly almost killing them that would've at least made us feel satisfied ( the reaction of other ninjas) cause his introduction was cool but his death was disappointing.

It seems that Kakuzu had a strong need to be devoted to somebody or to be a part of community as it was with Takigakure, then Akatsuki and with Hidan personally. I wish we could see the whole story of his character's development from the childhood.

To be honest neither of them seem that powerful to me to just be going around beating jinchuriki and the monk.. who was super fuckin powerful.. I mean one of them can't use Ninjutsu they were fighting people way powerful than them they don't show the entire fight first they're getting their ass whooped and then somehow they win

Kakuzu really got screwed over here. In my opinion, he’s one of the strongest Akatsuki (And one of my favourite), so it’s hard to watch literally everything go wrong for him in his final fight.

Kakuzu is certainly old enough to have been around the time of hashirama but certainly couldn't defeat him. Given he survived battling hashirama is impressive though likely hashirama didn't go all out since he didn't need to.
