Every hockey stop video I watch I learn something different. Didn't realize that you kind of briefly lift weight off both feet to reposition them. Will have to try that.

Hello, I have bauer X skates, but they are too tight in the area below ankle (on the inside) on both skates. After around 20/30min i have abrasions and later it gets just worse. Overall I love the skates, they are perfect lenght, and very good width. To specify this area is a little bit below ankle and a little bit to the front of the foot.
When i put on really thick socks, and band-aids on the part that hurts the most its fine to skate, but after skating for 2h I still need to take few days off after for the foot to fully "heal".
Do you have any idea what I could do to make there some more room around/below my ankle, because unfortunately im pretty sure the bauer X skates arent heat moldable.
Thanks in advance :)

Is it better to use insoles like superfeet for freestyle?

pretty GOOD tutorial as you allways do 😊👍🏼

one thing i often see inside the rink is, the people trying to hockey stop without turning their shoulder hard and wide enough ... just like they don't wanna crash into the board sideways but to be able still catching themselve if they fail ...

Noooo! I've been skating for many years, doing tricks, but I've always had problems with braking. The main secret is sharpening the blade of the skates. I skated for years on 8-13 radius and didn't even know about it. The blade cut into the ice hard and threw me.
Later, a friend told me to sharpen the blades to 25 radius and braking began to work easily.

Really enjoying your short and to the point tutorials - keep them coming!

I'd love to see one for the backwards inward toe stop.
