ОтветитьJust made it and it’s moist and soft and delicious. Thanks Natasha for this simple and delicious recipe. A few tweaks I made were using coconut sugar and orange zest - an idea I picked from another reviewer as I too did not have any lemons at home.

ОтветитьI made this, but my mixture was dry and in the end did not rise much. I've never used almond flour before and in the recipe it had " 1 1/2 cups almond flour, * measured correctly".....I could not find the * footnote. Did I pack my measuring cup too tightly when measuring the almond flour or something else?

ОтветитьI have not been able to eat cake for 15 years. For my birthday a few days ago, my son's mother-in-law sent me this recipe as a gift. My daughter-in-law made it for me and it was AMAZING!!! HOWEVER, we made a few adjustments. I cannot eat sugar or lemon so instead, she exchanged honey for sugar and just eliminated the lemon. It was AMAZING!!! It was moist and delicious! Our new "go-to" family cake. I did NOT gain any weight eating this cake and I didn't get sick. It does dry out after about 2 days in the fridge so I would recommend eating it up before 2 days, freeze, or keep in an air-tight container. We were completely shocked that this cake rose almost twice the size of teh one in the video! It would remind you of a pound cake with delicate flavor - really addicting. It was a complete shock to have a birthday cake for my birthday that was filled with healthful, healing foods - no refined sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no gluten! I did NOT gain weight from this cake either, in fact, I lost a pound since eating it for a couple of days. No kidding!

ОтветитьI didn’t have any fresh lemons or sliced almonds, so I, obviously, had to leave them out. We found it perfectly sweet without using the powdered sugar on top. It reminded us both of a sponge cake. It was still moist the next day too. I am planning to make this for our Easter dinner with strawberries and coconut milk whipped cream! Perfect gluten-free strawberry shortcake! Thanks for the time and recipe!
