Not sure where you got the price margins of only $10. ‏In my case, locally, the price difference is about 50-60$ between the K and KF variant. Sure, it's worth it if you're a creator and use video encoding a lot, as you said. But I think for most people who won't be using it for that, the increase in price is not insignificant.

Testing with ffmpeg and vmaf, NVENC has been better and faster than quicksync for a long time.
Not sure that quicksync is a “better encoder” but it is definitely good if it can also be utilized on top of your dGPU

Can it be done with ryzen 7000 series as they have an igpu as well

This made a huge impact!! I saw some video saying I should deactivate my internal GPU so that my RTX 4090 would get all the work load. A load of nonsence it now turns out. My big project went from rendering in H265 in 1 hour 46 min, down to only 22!! minutes when enabeling the integrated 630 gpu. Both worked hard, more memory was used(I have 64gb) and the load on my CPU was reduced. Thanks alot mate!!!

If IGP's are that good then why are top of the line Xeon or Threadripper workstation CPU don't have them?

It makes no sense for anyone to not get the iGPU. Even if you don't use it, its nice to have it in case your GPU dies... But its just useful other ways too...

I know the video is quite "old", but I feel like you should have included an AMD card, because they got their own solution. I would always go with a non-F CPU. I got a Ryzen 5 1600 on my old system and it´s just annoying that I can´t get rid of the GPU and still use the PC. To be fair, the price difference is a lot bigger here in Europe. The price difference of a 13600k vs a 13600kf is depending on the situation somewhere between 20-50€ extra for the non-f, which is a sizeable chunk of money to spend if you are really sure you don´t need it.

I have UHD770 (13500 cpu) and it seems to cooperate with my ARC A770 when playing 16K video (without igpu video is very laggy)

They wanted to sell me a build with model F, but with a little research I bought model K, since I was not going to buy a video card yet. For an integrated one, it performs very well, plus I usually encode videos with HandBrake, and with the igpu better results are obtained.

I don't need overclocking but I need an iGPU for light video editing(adobe premiere pro). Yes, i7 is a little bit expensive and has more resale value. But in gaming and editing what CPU you think I choose. I'm planning to use it with a premium B660 motherboard with high quality components and VRM(gigabyte b660m Aorus pro ax) and DDR4 Corsair 32gb 3200mt/s. I'm not overclocker so I don't need the z series motherboard nor k series chip. Help me decide please with reason. How much is the difference between these two specific processors? TIA ❤

You would convince more people if you didn't have such a smug, pre-conceived bias on such little research. First of all, you can sometimes save as much as $50 or more by going with a non--F variant. I was able to get a 12700KF for $219 a month ago on Amazon. That's nearly $50 less than what the K version is selling for. Also, it depends on use case. If you're gaming, using an iGPU with a 4080 or 3090 isn't going to help. Finally, most systems disable the iGPU when you plug in to the GPU's HDMI or Display port. There are obvious reasons when someone may want an iGPU, absolutely; but your "all or nothing" approach is very close-minded.

Wish I had seen this video before I build my new PC with a 7800X3D. After a bit of research, this video and first hand experience I've come to the conclusion that Intel is a better CPU in almost all area's. AMD CPU's consume less max power, but no one talks about how they have high idle wattage, because of the SOC die the CPU can only idle at 15 Watts compared to intels >5 watts. E-cores really don't get enough credit for efficiency, it's really the P cores that use a lot of power, and the IGPU QuickSync encoder is really good. AMD is great for gaming at the price but going ryzen for sure has downsides.

I would be interested in seeing a video on various ways to do hardware AV1 encoding aside from buy a 4090.

So I have always had multi GPU systems in now my retired SLI in X299 working as dual GPU, 1, older, 1 modern. (1080-Ti+2080-Ti) w/ i9-10900X. Can I get the similar support or it an Intel thing? I'm willing to drop an ARC A770 in there as these old Intel CPU don't offer iGPU.

I did configure my recent i(-10850 w/ Strix RTX-2080-Ti. I like it. How can I confirm if it uses iGPU primarily in non intensive desktop work but kicks in RTX as needed. My Mac Pro does this to reduce heat & energy.

Started working with more 4K and timeline was getting chunky, until I enabled the iGPU. If your system is close to bottle-necking on RAM than you definitely will need to add more to take full advantage of the iGPU benefit. I went from 32G to 64G of ram and the system is very smooth, plus it added a few more years of life to this 4yr old system.

I'm starting to highend graphic cards as overared bulky tech all I here is people want 4k and butter smooth graphic but it makes your tech heavier

From the charts it's the problem with premiere pro not supporting the appropriate features build in to the gpus. It's not like the gpu doesn't have those features

F variants usually are a bit slower without boost mode and with boost mode.

Good video but you need more camera angles. TLDR, intel iGPU encoders/decoders have some advantages over NVENC... might be useful if you do video work.
