As a kid, the crypt keeper scared me, which is why I turned away from the scene until the part where James Harvey got out of the bathroom.

This came out the same year as demon knight

20+yrs later since I've seen it, still one of the funniest scenes in any movie to me.

This was a great scene

As a kid I knew who Rodney Dangerfield was and I recognized Clint, but I don’t think I knew his name but I didn’t realize it was Mel until I was older

i had this movie on tape and i remember always closing my eyes before the crypt keeper bc it scared me so much 😂
i never knew who the other people were when i was little and now as an adult i recognize them all

It's so neat watching this movie as an adult and catching all the cameos and references you never noticed as a kid. Clint Eastwood, Rodney Dangerfield, Mel Gibson, and the freaking Crypt Keeper. Another scene even features Father Guido Sarducci and Ray Stantz from Ghostbusters.

It's hard to believe that Clint Eastwood, Rodney Dangerfield, AND Mel Gibson all said "Yes" to cameo in this film. Clint most of all.

I love the fact that Clint is Stretch, Rodney plays fatso (obvious with the wisecracks) and Mel IS Stinky! XD

It would have been funny if he turned into Scott Bakula and he said "Oh boy..."

I remember seeing this in the theatre with my parents when I was like 8 years old. I had no idea who the Cryptkeeper was yet, and I nearly jumped up and ran out when he suddenly showed up in this scene.

The last two were Mel Gibson and John Kassir as the Crypt Keeper, ironic cause they were together as John Smith and Meeko in Pocahontas which came the same year as Casper.

As a kid: Who are these people?

As an adult: Most actors in one scene. 🤣

I never realized that was Clint and Mel. So kind of them for doing this.

Fun Fact:
The rough cut of this scene had a slightly longer Cryptkeeper cameo
with him laughing after parodying
the "Home Alone" scream. Plus, the script was to have Steven Spielberg make his cameo — after the Crypt-keeper — asking frantically, "What am I doing here?!"

Steven Spielberg Filmed A Cameo For The Mirror But It Was Cut Because Steven Felt That He Wasn't Much Of An Actor.

This scene has stuck with me so much that, for the past 20+ years, every time I wash my face late at night I am always somewhat mentally prepared to see Clint Eastwood emerging from behind my towel in the mirror

Never seen an actor be in 3 summer movies. Mel Gibson did this one, Pocahontas, and of course, Braveheart.

This was the first time I saw Clint Eastwood the intro of him

Boy did I miss these references as a kid. But somehow I now recognize the faces: Clint Eastwood, Rodney Dangerfield, and Mel Gibson (Tom Cruise would’ve been hotter), and lastly the Cryptkeeper.

Wasn't expecting to see the crypt keeper in this movie watching in theaters as a kid 😳😱😱😱

Why the heck is this movie so poorly received? It's such a fun time.
