Most of the pain will have gone the minute the snake is removed from his arm

There is blood, but thats because the skin has been punctured fairly deep, from the fangs - the exact same would happen if you injected a needle into the skin

Wow.. What a super lame show.. I have been bitten by a Retic about this size myself and unlike this lay-mo, the snake actually coiled around my hand and wrist, drawing quite a bit more blood. My reaction? Ouch, I got bit. It did hurt, sure, but as you would expect. Major damage? No. Maybe it was because mine lacked the "fangs" this one apparently possesses.. Seriously though, how did this stupid show ever manage to make a second season???

Honestly, it seems overacted to me.
I have raised pythons, including reticulated, for over 10 years now. I have been bit by a retic that size 3 times in that span and one of those left a tooth behind.
Does it hurt, Absolutely it hurts.
Does it bleed a lot, absolutely.
Does it hurt as bad as what was shown here..... honestly, not really.
With that said however, I'm more used to that particular type of pain so maybe it just didn't affect me as much. Who knows.
