VG Myths - Can You Beat Super Mario Bros. Wonder Without Collecting Coins?

Good morning! I have a couple notes to add as an addendum!

1) I forgot to mention there is actually a third OOB method that, as far as I'm aware, is still possible on version 1.0.1: you can teleport your partner on top of floating blocks, and they can jump OOB from there. It's obviously far less versatile than the original OOBs and I don't believe it makes any more seeds obtainable.
2) I've gotten conflicting reports on whether or not a Factory Reset would allow us to use OOB glitches again on a preexisting, 1.0.1 save file. I've both seen claims that a save file made on a patched version cannot be played on a prior version of the game, and reports that it can. Even if hypothetically it does work, though, I don't currently have a physical copy of the game and would really rather not factory reset my console: I still have unpatched downloaded versions of a few games, such as Tears of the Kingdom (and I've heard there's some wild shenanigans in that game I don't want to lose access to when I get around to a challenge in fifty years). I've been told moving into World 5 from the Special World is nonviable, since the player ends up just sort of stuck in a single spot without the ability to move. Gaining access to OOB again would still allow us access to more seeds from the Special World levels I believe, but I'm sorry, I just really don't want to go through the factory reset unless there's a bigger chance it opens up something really big.

I really wish Nendo would stop 'fixing' their games by removing exploits that you kind of have to go out of your way to do. They utterly ruined a lot of the fun I was having with Item Dupes in TotK MULTIPLE TIMES! I don't get why they are so fixated on it. They aren't gamebreaking, you have to really try to make it work, and you can just... NOT do them if you don't want to 'cheat' in the game.

Some of the shit you pulled in this video roping in your friends would have me asking you for a real name because I'd need something far more personal than "Gamechamp" to exasperatedly call you by. Good job.

How is using a selectable character for single-player mode a cheese strategy to be avoided/worthy of a demerit, but cheesing through hard sections using multiplayer not worth a demerit?

Is it possible for a mod or something similar to be made on 1.0.0 where you can test if the oop trick to get to w5 is possible? If we can prove that the oop to w5 was possible on 1.0.0, and prove that w5 can be done coinless, then we can say the run is theoretically completable, although it won’t ever be humanly completable.

I 100%’d this game and I just realised I don’t think I used toadette even once…

For Midway Trial: Hop to It, my idea would be to spam bubbles above the hopycats, disposing of them before they could hit the blocks. I guess multiplayer works, too, but in my mind that's less "pure"

This video is the DEFINITION of GameChamp's famous line "if you think something is impossible, PROVE IT". Suspecting it's impossible from the start, but still moving heaven and earth to try it anyway is a level of dedication we should all aspire too. And in the process she got further and made more progress than anyone could have imagined, in direct spite of what seemed impossible, pushing that boundaries until only logical impossability remained.

Gamechamp's challenge run videos are getting too long. Still, i can't get enough of her buttery smooth voice so I don't mind the length.

Nabbit is like easy mode BUT:
Even though you can't die* and can't take knockback from damage**, you still can't use power-ups and don't get Yoshi privileges. I'd say it's more of a trade-off.

Yoshi is still easy mode though no questions.
