thunar has not got the copy to or move to that nemo has. tried to install nemo on xfce but both times it refused, and l like my panel at the top finding out how to do that was a bit hit and miss, not clear like cinnamon, but l will give xfce a go for a while and see if it will take me away from cinnamon, but l doubt it

I dont care who the boneheads are that named MATE or how they say its pronounced.
Its MATE: Long A. ...as in "He was the First Mate of the ship" That's how those letters are pronounced when arranged in that sequence. Its not "Matte'" ...like some coffee especially in America.
Its MATE. Long A.
Accept it or it will destroy you.

I kind of hoped that you'd addressed the items order re-arrangement within the menu in Mint XFCE to make this review "in depth."
The Mint Mate, for example, won't allow you to re-arrange the order of items in a menu with its menu editor.
For example, you could add a text editor to Office category in Mate but can't move its icon up or down.
Too bad you have not addressed whether this behavior exists in Mint XFCE.

Thanks for a good review of xfce, lighter than Mate and Cinnamon
Can you choose ‘gnome’ icons in xfce like you can in cinnamon and Mate? that’s a deal breaker for me for some reason, I really like gnome icons and hate the ugly default ones

I have my System76 laptop dual booted with Standard Ubuntu 18.04 and now Linux Mint 19. Loving the Cinnamon look and feel and really like the Timeshift program. I might need to do a video review, something I have not done in a few years now. Good review from Rob as always!

Is this more of your son's work? Great music! I like the two part setup. Great video!

Thanks for the very detailed overview. I am no fan of music videos, so thanks for the warning at the beginning. I think its an interesting concept to combine the music style video with a spoken review and its easy enough to view only the part you want.

Deskbar is a nice XFCE Panel mode when it's vertical.

I had Mint XFCE 19 installed in VMWare and whenever I tried to change the resolution there was a major bug that wouldn't display the screen size properly. It was basically unusable. Great review Rob!
