If you really want progress you should be doing 250-1000 each day.

I'll give ya some advice I've personally noticed..nordic hamstring curls over a decent period of time builds my calves as long as you progress the difficulty (e.g. from band assisted to finally bodyweight) and carrying a weighted bag around ~10kg for 2+ hours walking not great alternatives but yeah. Also i hear myorep dumbbell calve raises where you pick a total number of reps (e.g. 50 reps) to finish in one workout is good

good vid, but if you want a bigger change and to be able to dunk, i would recommend holding it for about 4-5 seconds or at least 3 :)

Dude, for God sakes instead of showing measurements at the end of your vids, how about some before and after pictures instead? That's the only reason people watch these types of videos anyway

Try it using a dumbbell. Most people need extra weight to stimulate their calves. One dumbbell, one leg!👍🏻💪🏻😃

if before starting a running program did this for a month how much of a difference would make. probably better to just start running. or do the calf raises and some full body condtioning hiit work outs. really though if that works why bother with the running.. nice to get outside though. get some morning sun

If you dont have some condition that prevents that, you should really stretch much more. You'd have better results IMO.

That's a great, simple tip that got actual results. Good for him - and in a brief video, as well! I'm rehabbing a strained calf and can't do anything right now, but am looking forward to doing his routine to build back up when I can.

P.S. Glad he showed single-leg raises. Those can do a lot for you, even without dumbbells. No need to go to a gym to find a calf machine.
