My 9900k and Z390 Aorus Peo wifi keeps crashing. Dont get it

I don’t know if you will see this but the only step I seem to differ is my CPU Capability only goes up to 140%. Have you encountered this before? Is my mb only capable of this or can I increase to 200%?

Now since you went to Intel OC labs and saw they silicone lottery spreadsheet, do you know think the 'Sil Quality' was anything up that alley with Asus being able to interpret that data?>

I came from 9700k I did not overclock it. It runs 4.6ghz fine. Then now I have the 13900k. I was blown away with its 5.8ghz stock! Crazy

Didn't really help. I tried pushing my 9700k to 5ghz at 1.32 volts but after 4 BSODs and 1 complete system lock up I gave up because I didn't want to risk killing my cpu. I fallowed all steps but no luck. But bios reports 187 cooler points I had the pump and the fans maxed, and it estimated 5ghz to be stable at 1.29V

Tried following this guide along with many others, and many hours have been spent stability/stress testing. Really can’t figure out why my 9900K won’t do a 5 GHz all-core OC even at 1.4V without throwing WHEA errors. Yet, I can do a 4.9 GHz all-core at 1.25V. I could probably lower the vcore even more, but haven’t tested it yet. It’ll boost to 5 GHz on up to 2 cores at stock settings, as advertised, but an all-core 5 GHz OC just seems out of the question for my chip.

DIMM.2 takes PCIE lanes from the GPU on an XI Extreme. It's useless for most people.

Im running the i9900k at 4.8GHz scoring 2050 in cinebench 15 and i have to say that i do not miss any performance at all, thanks to that modification my temperatures went 15-20 degres lower! now I can game in red dead redemption 2 with a overclocked 2080ti at 49'' in a ultrawide monitor in 2K maxximum settings 70-80 fps having the cpu at 60 degrees in both: gpu and cpu, got to say that i spended many hours to manage the balance, but it was definetely worth it..
The voltage im using: 1.185 (if you ask)

My 9900k can't hit anything above 4.8 Ghz without too much voltage/temps on a NH-D15 while using Prime95 AVX... I need 1.32v in bios (1.29V effective VID) to be stable at 4.8 Ghz

Using AVX -4 means it will run only @4.6Ghz under avx load, which is actually an UNDERclock since stock is 4.7Ghz under all load.

When you say Cinebench should be about 2100 at 5.0. does that suggest all CPUs with a clean windows, same ram speed and same cache speed and a 5.0 overclock setting should get about the same score if stable? Or can you still mess up other settings? Or can you have the wrong voltage for example and not crashed yet , but keep getting lower scores because of the lower voltage? ( even though it doesn't BSOD )

Have a water cooled i9-9900k with an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero. With this video I managed to jump up my CPU frequency from 3.6Ghz to 5.0Ghz. It helped get rid of a bottleneck on my PC performance.

What about cpu power phase? What setting should that be? Does it matter?

When I run the exact same settings ( on z390-a Asus) , the cpu is stuck at 3900 with the multiplier going down to 39 even though it is set at 50 (or 49) in the bios. It was overcloeked at 4.9ghz with auto settings... Can't figure it out. Can someone give me some pointers?

I can’t get mine to be stable. I have a i9 9900k and it’s OC at 5ghz but when I attempt to run cinebench it will get about halfway through and then blue screen with “clock watchdog timeout” so I’m not sure how to fix it

You seem to worry about how much power is being used if your overclocking you dont worry about power usage. As computers use jack shit power! And a 10 min wait to get to the subject is bullshit

Im running a 1080ti on a i9 9900k with rog ryujin 360 watercooler and it can run MW at 5ghz running cool at 54c and 43c the GPU

Every 9900k can hit an all cores 5ghz

The thing no one seems to talk about is how stable you actually are under those settings with a typical chip in a typical system with typical custom air loop cooling.

I must of failed in the cpu lotto because my 9900KS on a custom water loop runs super hot at 5 GHZ. I have to give it 1.380 Volts to get it stable.

Im doing something wrong and im not sure what.. I follow the steps but when my computer goes underload it shoots down to 4600hmz. Can anyone help? I used to be able to get a stable 5.1ghz OC and I had it with no issues running for about a year, yesterday I undsted the bios for the motherboard and lost my OC. Im almost positive I used this originally as a template.

Isnt asus multicore enhancement good for oc?

I wish this guide would work for me but I think due to the fact I have a Z370 board - Asus Maximus X Hero even though it supports the i9-9900K. I've tried a ton of times to get 5.0Ghz all-core, but best I've been able to manage is 4.8Ghz all-core. Beyond that it's a 50/50 chance it will even post. A lot of times will be perfectly fine actually booted into Windows, pass all the stress-tests and everything. But usually will fail to post on a reboot or cold boot the next time I try to power it up or reboot. Anyway I gave up hope on it until I'm ready to replace this board. Hopefully I can hold out until DDR5 becomes a thing!

When I set the voltage higher I mostly stay at 4.8 to 4'9 more so than 5ghz. But when I lower voltage it stays at 5ghz is that normal?
