I think you need to upgrade your power supply. I believe because of the update with every applications we have on our PC, requires more power source with our power supply. If I'm not mistaken.

Sounds like he may need a better PSU (power supply unit). I always buy above what I need for this part because the longevity you get out of better quality ones is just so worth it, and ensures you don't damage other parts of your computer. Not sure if he custom built his PC though, but could be worth looking into.

That's either a faulty psu or mobo. Mostly psu
