at 100 hours, mostly post-launch, I can say this game is in a good place. The campaign is fun, monoliths are good, dungeons are super-engaging, and so much great build diversity available to all.
Currently have 7 characters, all of which are fun to play, and the respeccing is forgiving enough to tweak out an underperforming character. When we first did the Lagon fight, my glass cannon of a bladedancer got squished early and often. I tweaked my active skills, got to 3 movement skills, and it was mostly a test of my patience to not get hit and finish out the encounter after my buddy went down in the first 10 seconds. When I tried it out with my swarmblade, well, the magical murder hornet made that encounter trivial, but having a movement skill and perma-haste will do that.

Can't wait to see how this game grows over the next year.

Solid game, the campaign and storytelling are absolutely awful though.

Gearing is pretty cool. Probably the best of any ARPG. Still feel lots of stuff is cumbersome though, i feel a game requiring loot filters is just bad design. I think a game should naturally drop so few loot and aim it at your character that everything should be worth picking up potentially with the only filtering necessary just done visually by the player.

Builds were cool to i liked the skill trees and passive trees. Just the right amount of depth I'd say which makes builds fairly obvious but not super obvious.
Only thing i hated were these blessings. I feel there shouldn't be too many sources of stats all over the place. Passives and gear should be the only thing imo.

Combat and endgame were a little repetitive though. You're just spamming these minimaps and most fights weren't very interesting. Too much visual clutter in endgame.

It's Path of Exile hopefully I saved you a lot of time so you can stop searching now.

Too bad you didn’t wait till 1.0. The game is bugged as F (at the moment of me writing this comment - this may change) but the devs did change a lot of stuff during the year between this video and the release date.

okay cool that you like it but, you could you know, take the time and learn how to say Epoch, it is a real word, not made up and you sound stupid calling it last epic.

I just started playing this, and I love it. Poe is just too much for me, and Diablo4 is not enough, and this is perfect. It's the goldilocks situation

What i hate from this tipe of game (played POE for 3 month). We need to spent real money on Soooooooo many storage stash. That cost alooooot.. Fux up

One of the best Early Games with one of the worst non Existant Endgame sadly

People hating on D4 need to get a life and know what the industry is like. Devs tell us ALL THE TIME how much creative control they have or how CRUNCH produces the best games or investors, market changes, etc etc. it’s PATHETIC that people cried because of Diablo Immortal, and not thinking that that affected D4 in anyway (which assuredly it did) and then complain about D4 base when EVERY VERSION OF DIABLO THAT WAS GOOD WAS FROM EXPANSIONS!!!

You can love the systems in one ARPG and not bash on the others because you’re a dullard with no sense of how the Industry is. This isn’t the same Dev team from D1 or 2, people are worn down by the culture at their job and god forbid they try something new while sticking to the spirit of Diablo because all the babies whine when someone DARES go in a new direction. Some gamers should’ve been swallowed mate.

Last Epoch is terribly boooorring. There are no events, no mutators, no distinct changes to endgame and you get bored out of your mind doing those looong monoliths. Crafting is also not very well thought over. It would be nice if say a base item had a lot of crafting potential to make a nice item from ground up, but this is not the case, so it is only reserved to modifying existing item. It is also very random based and limited, so most of the items go to the trash can. Also there is a very large limit to skills. Way too little. Some builds like for example zookeeper would benefit from at least 1 if not 2 more active skills. Rewards for each monolith part is a joke - a key, a rare item, some runes, come on. You get 2734629x more stuff from actually playing. The game needs way better endgame and quite a bit of overhaul. Has potential though.

Last Epoch had me chasing level ups like it was D2 hayday again. The crafting system is understandable, imo no need for a build guide to play.

Path of exile is the best, BUT! You need a whole damn degree to have a good build and no life, furthermore, game changes all the time, cosmetics are everything and can't exchange them like in other games.

why do Americans Pronounce EPOCH (EEPOK) as EPIC?

Last Epoch has went through a SHIT TON of additions, fixes and graphic updates as well as a whole new start section revamp. Definitely give it another try!

If there's one criticism I have for this game, its that the suffix pool for weapons feels very limited. The prefixes are all really exciting, but you're stuck with x% to inflict ailments for suffixes, which end up being semi useless to builds that don't use ailments at all.
