After taking a look at Jackie Kennedy's New York City Apartment, what are your thoughts? Is her home as spectacular as you thought it would be?

Very reserved.

It’s a spacious well lit and well furnished. A livable comfortable abode.

This is the tasteful home of a highly cultivated and cultured lady.

I think she was a big put on.

You described a dining room with a long table etc. and that's not the way she decorated the dining room. She had a smaller table and an informal dining room which was more of a french style room with a round table, but functioned more as an entertainment spot rather than the formal dining room in your narration. Get the facts and the information straight!

You really showed us little of the apartment, just talked about it. Must have smelled bad with her being a chain smoker.

Celebrity visitors over the years included Candace Bergen, Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton, Madonna, Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters, Hillary Clinton, etc.

That’s living. New York is the only place to live if you have money and you’re into the arts. They say only city to live in besides NY would be Paris.

You can’t take a thing with you. Her material possesses mean nothing.

This place looks awful and smothering. It's decorated like some old grandma lives there.

Such a beautiful home. Who would not love to live there in NYC, America's ONLY world class city. Yet, consider the tragedy and suffering in her life. I have heard it said that the Kennedy's were "cursed." They certainly had more than their fair share of tragedy, and one has to wonder if there really are "curses." Beautiful home; beautiful woman; and, an extraordinary life. May she rest in peace.

Truly amazing woman as was her late husband a truly amazing man, she was a trailblazer for women's fashion and she had it nailed and so elegant... as for the New York apartment well it just smacks of finesse and style and what an incredibly intriguing family.

I chuckle at all the “it’s not my taste” comments from a bunch of mall shoppers who think Home Goods is the epitome of style and design.

She was the Queen of America and certainly raised two beautiful children and Cape Codders loved it when she came there.

I could imagine her apartment would look like that. I'm sure she liked it as such.
The library is ok, but I don't like the same art as she did, and some of the furnitures are pretty awful.
I guess the clothes are stylish for that time, but... well

Your surroundings can be spectacular those surroundings around you will never replace those you have lost.

There is something morbid about this style. I prefer a cheerful style.

I think its mostly great..timeless too...but dislike small prints small drawings wall decorations...prefer real paintings..by or of friends. .photos..etc. Not itsy wall fillers.

The description of the rooms unfortunately does not match the footage which I conclude was due to the lack of more photos of the apartment! Anyway, it was good to see the place.

Her home is much like I thought it would be, and exactly mirrors my own heartfelt efforts in my home. She was older, but yet a contemporary of mine. Though, I certainly, did not agree with the politics, or her husband’s of treatment of their marriage, and family, I most assuredly agreed with her taste.

What happened to all that stuff? Is the apartment a museum now or it was sold?

Although the lady was not one of the most sympathetic women, I think this Appartement was quite elegant and comfortable. To me it is a look of how North Americans think north europeans live. Considering this was put together 40-50 years ago. It still stands up well today. That look is certainly better than the VIP‘s homes of today which all have a sterile hotel lobby look to them , a conveyer belt “luxury”, look which has to change every season. By the way was everything auctioned off after her death?

Saw her taking walks all of the time when I was going to Central Park when I was a kid. Used to wave at her. She would chat with us kids. When I got older, I used to see her handsome son biking. He was so yummy!!

So much... stuff. Ugh. You can only live like that if you have a full-time duster.

She lived in Georgetown in Washington DC after leaving the White House. After being she and her children were constantly hound3d by reporters, she decided that the anonymity of NYC was better suited for her and her children.

Also I suspect she married Onassis for financial security reasons
