How to record PC gameplay using Elgato game capture HD (Desktop ONLY!)

I know this is 9 years old but do you know how to change to 720 60fps?

Will this also work if I connect my PC to my TV?

I just get the error “not supported mode” on my monitor

When I plug the elgato to pc via USB the pc says 'usb device not recognised' I've downloaded all the drivers but nothing... Just bought it used on eBay and it all seemed in great shape like not used much what can I do? :(

So basically the only way out for potato pc user like me trying to record gameplay using obs which always consume fps is this device!!!!

okay I know this video was uploaded in 2013, and I am asking this question in 2020. However when I try to record something the recording ends up looking awful, the audio is extremly laggy, as soon as a game starts up my friends can barely hear me besides one thing i say out of an entire paragraph, and I can't figure out what to do. Is there something I need to configure or is it just not going to work on my computer? Considering I have technology that works in 2020 I'd assume this would be okay for the older model of Elgato that I have that was used in this video. But I really just don't know because every recording ends up looking like garbage and I can't communicate with anyone

So I need a monitor that has HDMI I figure since my PC has a HDMI I could use the legato.

Is there anyway to use the HD 60 S to capture my PC Gaming and stream all on the same PC?

You can also plug your headset to the elagato HD audio jack. Just change the audio output from HDMI to analog

I'm using DVI but shouldn't it pick up my hdmi output? Or do I have to be playing on hdmi

I'm using my stock monitor from 2007.... still works perfect.... but it only has DVI-D (dual channel). So, the only thing I'd be lacking is audio. Any guide/advice/recommendation for a setup so I won't have to shell out even more money for a new monitor? Adapter recommendations?

when i plug in my elgato to my tv and pc it makes my screen all grainy and gross, when i unplug it and just use my hdmi it goes back to the way its supposed to be, nice and not grainy and gross. Please help i've been trying to researching this problem and no one seems to have it someone please help
