Ok so, with the ac adapter for the switch dock, basically just base it off of: can it super fast charge?
A quick google search will tell you that the original ac adapter is 39w. Most phone chargers are 10 or 15w, and on the high end, 45w (super fast charging speeds).
My current phone charger, which is 45w, can power my switch dock, while one of my old phone chargers, wouldnt be able to. Same goes for power banks. If it can't super fast charge, it wont work.

If you connect the switch to the Beam and then to the Air it will work. That way you dont need to get the HDMI adapter.

The idea of sliming down the dock is nice. But afterwards why not just use a small backpack or a sling bag, which I believe will turn the current negative fashion score to something a little more positive.

The reason why the nintendo switch doesnt work well with most usb protocols is due to the fact they dont use it at all, they just use the port. Which is why you also struggle finding powerbank is because they charge for the patented protocol theyre using for power delivery, and its not cheap getting license to use it. It's a scummy move by them, and if you break your devices by using non-compatible power delivery protocols ( like a usb cable & adapter ) they wont even think twice about denying refunds, repairs or even warranty claims.
