ОтветитьI never own semi autos. Just stay away from Ruger of any design.
ОтветитьI carry a Smith & Wesson 351c it is a 22mag that is 12oz loaded and is 7shot i carry it in my front pocket in a pocket holster that is my EDC !!!
ОтветитьOf course 38 Special is still a worthy calibre to consider in a Snubby or even pistol for CCW. Becasue real world "combat" is CQB ..."up close and personal".....at distances pretty much any calibre is going to be hurt...when it enters the body of a "threat". e.g. you are seated in the driver's seat during a car jacking--engagement distance of less than 2 feet :)) ...Stairwell, elevator.....bed to door frame. (most people don't live in mansions...where the bed to door frame distane can be 20 feet plus...\
Snubbies are so underrated but I think is THE best CqB handgun...2-3" barrel....and usually affordable--making them usually guns we can be without after a defensive shooting when the police takes the gun....does it make any sense to be using a $5000 custom 1811 for CCW?? HOme Def?? NOt IMHO...heh...
the S&W model 642 u show does not have a "shrouded hammer".
ОтветитьS&W model 642 LadySmith. .38 Special +P. 5 rounds, no exposed hammer, weighs less than a pound. Excellent concealable weapon especially for females and older persons. Most encounters are at close range and this weapon can be carried safely in a pocket or purse. The price is right, the size is right and you don't have to be an expert to load or fire this weapon. Nothing complex, just point and pull the trigger. I would buy it for my wife...and it's an excellent hold out weapon even if you carry a larger firearm.
ОтветитьS&W 327 8 shot 23.3ouncs BEST TRIGGER on any gun ever made to date Period ! Pocket or Purse How fast can you move ? 21 foot rule 1 second . NEED TO REVIEW THIS FOR SURE ?
ОтветитьGlad to see the Charter Arms bulldog make the list
ОтветитьTaurus 856 Ultralight is awesome to conceal. Its light, 16 oz very small and is also a 6 shooter. Just my opinion.
ОтветитьGet the extra advantage of pocket or purse carry by making it a hidden hammer or bob the hammer yourself, videos on cutting that hammer off to eliminate snagging on YT.
ОтветитьWish you had mentioned that the Kimber comes in the K6sx, 38 +P weighing just under 16 oz. with a 6-shot capacity. Same quality, shielded hammer, and cost me $599 at the big brick and mortar store. Very easy to carry, ammo is affordable, fixed sights that are very easy to find and align.
Ответитьwho says .38 special "isn't a strong bullet"? The .38 special was designed in the prohibition wars of 1920's. (Capone era) Cops needed a pistol that could easily penetrate those old heavy metal car doors.
ОтветитьCarjacking defense tip: forget the mansion, get a snubby revolver for up close and personal combat - where your $5000 custom 1911 just won't cut it! 😄🔫
Ответитьthe rock island armory 206 is total 100%,garbage, do not carry this if you wamt to stay alive and well😮
ОтветитьTaurus 605 3". Taurus semi autos are meh but their revolvers are another story. I have a few and have never had issue with the revolvers. Again, the semi autos, no i'll pass.
ОтветитьMy career began in ‘68 when revolvers were standard gear. In ‘74 I was assigned to the Robbery Squad and became involved in a gunfight w/three armed robbery suspects. I had my issued Colt Detective Special and emptied it twice before it was over, the bad guy was down and I was out of ammo (detectives only carried one reload). About 10 years later we transitioned to Glock pistols and I was more than glad to have the increased capacity.
ОтветитьI'm not a Kimber fan! The trigger sucks on a very expensive gun. The rest are outstanding picks!!!!! I own several charter arms guns and carry them often!
ОтветитьI dont know why other companies aren't copying kimber
ОтветитьI had an instructor once tell me his way of practicing a revolver reload. At his range though. Have your reload in your pocket or wherever you carry the speedloader. Shoot your 5 or 6 rounds at about 5 to 7 yards. Then without looking at your revolver { he would close his eyes on his range] empty the spent casings, acquire your reload, load them and then shoot those rounds. He said this was a fairly realistic situation in a defensive shooting because you never want to lose sight of your opponent. Of course I brought up the "peripheral vision" situation, and he thought that was not something you can truly depend on in a real defensive scenario. We had lots of discussions about that.
ОтветитьNo Taurus revolvers? You guys suck.

ОтветитьLove my SW bodyguard .38, it's tiny and comes with a crimson. I've shot it a lot and it's been flawless.
ОтветитьCaliber choice has always and will always be a hot topic among shooters. Here’s my spin. I carry daily. Currently I’m carrying 22 magnum. I consider this a viable caliber for a get off me gun. The big advantage is capacity. Lighter weight and it’s easier to conceal is a plus. A wheel gun will always be my first choice. You pull the trigger it goes bang. The ultimate thing to carry would be a Navy Seal…but they’re just too darn heavy and expensive to feed. Cheers!
ОтветитьA plastic Ruger revolver for $850 !!! Are they out of their minds?
