I feel being one of the earliest of the Vanilla Expanded mods, it has a lot of scruff it could afford to cut out (rocks, really?) with Cherry Picker, but I do have it installed in my modlist. I just tend to cut out like 85% of the weapons.
ОтветитьThe only minor complaint about the Vanilla Expanded weapon series is that couple of the later tier weapons break the "sidegrade" path and are straight on upgrades to generic counterparts.
For example:
Unless you seek range, HMG makes most automatic suppresion weapons obsolete, because of its humongous penetration value - 50% base, if memory serves me right.
Some of the charge weapons also encroach on the niche already used by vanilla:
Charge SMG is a straight on upgrade, for example - you trade one point of range for massively increased damage output - Charge Rifle already has bad range, so that one point does not really make it reach any breakpoint, but DPS does.
Charge shotgun is borderline broken on how powerful it is - ESPECIALLY if you combine it with other vanilla expanded mods - try using it on pawn with range and accuracy enhancing powers from Ancients or Psycasts expanded, this is downright terrifying.
Charge Sniper is basically a sniper shotgun - and while it is technically a sidegrade, it allows a sniper weapon to deal with crowds, while still ignoring most of the armour.
And don't get me started about Charge Minigun - you thought that minigun-wielding, trigger happy shooting specialists buffing each other were crazy? Wait till you try this baby.
The quality of the mod is fantastic, but some weapons could use slight toning down.
Wait, grenade launchers are modded? I am also very surprised. lol

ОтветитьWith CE and a good team formation, the Anti material rifle can be used in end game raids.. Things like Sieges, Mech Clusters, preparing before an attack, you preemptively strike them from so far away they have no idea what's going on, and will lose several people before they attack. with CE armor piercing incendiary bullets, head shots will be listed as burned off when you hit mechs who will go down in one shot because they do have "heads" apparently.
Snipers may not be the ideal Rimworld choice, but when one is sitting behind everyone in a smoke bomb, or you're being preemptive, targeting the guy with the rocket launcher, the pikeman that won't come nearer, the guy shooting the mortar in sieges. It also alongside its CE cousin the Hecate II out ranges turrets from mechs
Yes, you can clear that annoying inferno turret exactly one till outside of its sad range as a sniper 😂
