Or turn off the circuit breakers for the lights in the breaker panel!

Why didn't you just remove the switch and disable the lights there?

All you have to do is pull your skull cap down over your eyes. I do it all the time and it will also help keep the heat in your body because a lot of the heat escapes through your head.

I think there is a little AAA Battery in those switch panels. You probably ran down the battery. Run into them before, and they don't have any kind of battery quality indicator that blinks when battery is low. Bad Design.
