Navruz (Nowruz) has nothing to do with the harvest season but by the birth of spring. Also, it's not an Uzbek festival but a common cultural tradition among Iranian-Aryan people or cultures influenced by those.

ОтветитьThis is a Nowruz tradition dating back to the Persian empires. In Iran this is called Samanoo and it is made for Nowruz every year as well.

during Nowruz time , we make this thing which we call it Samano. but we also add almond and walnut.

ОтветитьYeah. It's originally from Iran and Uzbekistan was part of Iran formerly so we share the same culture. We eat it as a dessert and use it for our haftseen decoration once a year, during nourooz.
