I loved the show but found her extremely hyper both off and on screen. Ruairi gave wonderful facial expressions, they're both good actors but she does not do facial expressions very well, she was too intense and serious. Even in this interview she wouldn't let Rauiri get a word in🙄

I wonder if that accent on the show was her idea or the director. It was pretty hard to listen to that interpretation of a Spanish accent.

If it wasn't for the lines she was reciting that let us know what she was feeling just watching her I would never know she was having any kind of emotion. Like I said it's like she was just standing there looking pretty for her photographs to be taken. Even when she smile to betray being happy the only thing that moved on her face was her lips and they barely show to smile. Like I said watching it for the third time now and trying tobe more open-minded after my initial disappointment in the acting. So I did catch a smile now and then. I'm just so very disappointed and all the other actors were absolutely wonderful in their portrayal. It's a beautiful woman cast in a row without acting ability.

I read Charlotte's hope interview on how emotional she was playing Catherine. You could have fooled me because my biggest complaint against her was it was hard to tell she was having any kind of emotion. So many great actors on the show but I was very disappointed in the acting of Katherine. Hardly did a facial muscle move. I would have liked to have seen the emotion come through in the character. She said it was hard for her to watch because it wasn't really acting. I have to agree on the part about not acting. And I don't understand how she was overwhelmed with emotion watching herself. I'm watching it for the third time trying to find some emotion come through in the character. it made me feel like she was cast not for her acting ability but for her looks. Shake off the residue of the emotions she felt play in the character I don't know why it really look like she was there mostly posing for a picture to be taken. As a kind of Love story it was already hard enough to accept she was in love with Henry in the beginning because he was actually only 10 or 11 years old.

The series turned me off when it started in part 1 with Henry being fully grown when in reality, he was about 10 when Catherine first showed up in England. I knew it would warp history beyond just typical dramatic license. Btw, why does he speak English with an American accent?? I thought he's Irish.
