Im playing this right now on ps5 through backwards compatibility & was wondering how big the gap would be on pc. Its nice to see that beside the resolution & a higher framerate the game does look pretty similar in regards to the console version.

I'm honestly running the game on a optiplex 9010 with i7 and rx550 4g low profile and get pretty much a solid 30fps at og settings at 1080p. Was very surprised how well its running.

They never did fix this micro stutter issue on AMD gpus :(

Man, I bet nvidia reflex makes that Sigrun fight much easier though I'd like to know what the 11ms reduction is out of. Like what is the PS5's latency? Because 11ms off of 100 isn't that big of a deal but 11ms off of 60 ms is a huge deal.

My Game runs without DLSS better then with On. I play it with a AMD 5700XT and it runs not very well. I try vulkan mod wich brings not better Fps.

i have 4k tv and budget to buy rx 6700 xt, would it better to use optimized setting at 1440p or original setting at 4k?

For $500 ($400 digital ) the ps5 playing AAA games at 1440p at 60fps on a plain jain 4k 60hz TV is a hard deal to beat .

Not once did the checkerboard artifacts bother me while playing on the PS5.

Reccomendations on laptop 3060 6gb?

Might have messed up buying this game. My 1660Ti can't handle it at all. So much for going off the recommended specs. Can barely run on original settings. Won't go over 40fps either.

I’ll be honest, as soon as I read about this game coming to PC… I was like okay, probably gonna be so so on PC… to lure people into getting a PS5 for the ultimate experience.
But even if fluffy CPU such as mine (Ryzen 5 1500x) and with previous GPU (Vega 64) and now even better - new GPU (RX 6700) - the game is spectacular !!!
I was even blown away of my Dual Sense running this as if it’s a native console and even connecting Xbox controller it shows Xbox prompts !!!
This shows PlayStation are not in this all emotional…. They just wanna get people the best experience for anyone playing… regardless of device.

I love how degenerates think that running game with 10900k and 3090 at 60 fps , and not having problems its superb optimization, you do even know words that comes out of your mouth
doom have superb optimization, can run on 4th gen Intel and rx 570

Finally got this game. My one complaint is the DLSS sharpening setting, what the HELL is it doing that it's so aggressive? It's seriously oversharpened even at 5/100, the 35/100 default is just a shimmering artifacted mess.
I left it at 0 and it immediately improved the image so much. IDK what's up with that.

the areas u tested arent even that heavy i went from smooth 60 in midgard to almost 40!! in alfheim.

I've noticed that playing the game some textures seem to load at a lower resolution and are just a blurry mess.
It's normally some object or detail on a wall or door but it makes things like drawings in the story boards unreadable.
My CPu is old so that probably the reason i7 4790k 16gb DDR3 ram and RX 6600XT

I recommend that the best settings are low preset and if you have AMD FSR 2.0 I recommend off or quality

It would be perfect if not for that damn mouse acceleration.

It's nice 1 of the best 1st party sony xclusives has finally got a pc port& a good one at that.
However, on my high gaming serup using an LG c1 oled, the pc version of this game doesn't actuall look much better then the stunning ps5 version I play. OK the ps5 version was the pro version running in cheq board 4k 60fps, but it still looks stunning on my setup.

What a great time to be a PC gamer. You get all PC, Xbox and half of the Playstation titles. I'm not going to run any crap about PC being master 4k 60fps nonsense because almost no one has a rig like that, because the price would be astronomical-- more that it just has so much access to games. My old PC is somewhere between a Ps4 and a Ps5 in power, but I can run the now average Horizon port at high settings 30fps 1440p.

The port is good BUT you kinda have to change somethings before it's good, if you go with default (at least for me) you would get this effect really weird around chars, but after changes is amazing indeed

the upskirt climbing camera is good for hiding flaws whilst trying to catch a glimpse of the balls of war lol

the new studio did the pc port really well, looking forward to the Uncharted port
Many Sony ports runs nearly flawlessly on my PC without any crashing especially Death Stranding. Horizon New Dawn and Days Gone stutters a bit maybe because of the HDD, but mostly runs well with their latest patch

Do you also have recommended settings for HDR gaming? Somehow I am not able to make it look good, like some parts are always either blown out or too dark :/

A new driver released recently for AMD GPUs that fixes a lot of weirdness with Dx11 titles, including GoW.
Not sure how much difference that makes for the 580 performance here, but from what I've seen it's quite good.
