I thought Football Manager 2024 would be Terrible. I was wrong.

I think you were right. First time i've brought it since 21 and all the hype seemed great. All the usual FM creators said as much too, then i played it and wished I hadnt have bothered. The match engine is definitely better, but the rest of the game has lost it's way for me. Not sure how you guys who play it so often dont get bored with it, but more power to you. Wish i felt the way about it you do.

I'm really enjoying FM24. They've done enough to justify the price. But man I can't wait to see what FM25 is all about.

About FM being ported to a new engine, it's entirely doable. It has been for the last 20 years Spreadsheet Manager™ and there's no reason they cannot move most of the maths over in how it works. They've likely already tested how it would function in Unity engine, and it will MOSTLY be the same as before in how everything works - though the differences will be small, it will put some people off.

Looks like this could be a really good game, i really like the fact that we can now take charge of the recent transfer window that our clubs have butchered

This game should have stuck to the 2D pitch back a few years ago. Don't need anything else. It'll never be like a Fifa/EA Football game.

Income from tv deals etc is a big game changer for a build a nation save

What happens if you sign a player in the summer then they move in real life in the next January in real world mode?

The transfer system sounds iffy. How are they going to handle the play database? Increased stats and so on. Do you need to have fm 2023 installed so it’s just running the database in the new game?

Can football manager be played on PS5 and can you edit players…..have not played since CM3 I think lol

FM 2023 sickened me. I bought it and it was basically FM2022 with a new skin. And the standard of the game has been so labourious and repetitive for too long. Can't wait for VR FM with AI personalities though!

I still don’t real how “real world” is gonna work. Will all the players have pre arranged deals that means they can’t be touched or can you still buy the players before the move like could I buy regulon before he moves to utd?

some time ago they announced their plan for FM 24 and FM 25, and I was decided to wait FM 25 because I did not expect big changes in FM 24, and instead I took it because they really improved the game compared to the 23

Thank you Tom for the nice video. I really think that this years changes are very cool so far and thats why I have preorderd the game. I hope that all the new features fit together. If so, then SI did a really great job with FM24.

it’s called good marketing and you are part of that. It’s more or less exactly the same game until next year when it’s the same game with a new graphics engine. We buy a database every year with very minor changes to gameplay.

Is the save transfer available across all platforms?

I was going through the FM24 improvements today. I didn't find a single one which was mildly interesting. If SI were selling it at half the price of 35-40 euros, it would still be super expensive for what it offers compared to FM23. Will probably go ahead and buy a shared account with 30 other people just to take a quick glimpse, but I'd rather wait to see if FM25 is any better. I'm not buying this Unity overhaul stuff, because the first revision will most likely be ridden with bugs and we'll have to wait months/years before it becomes bug free.

All very beautiful. I just hope FM24 has a high challenge rating. Unfortunately, Football Manager tends to make you win too easily.

I don’t think FM24 will be that much better than FM23. Obviously most content creators to hype this up.

As a coder myself, I'll assume once you import your FM23 save into FM24 it gets converted, so importing into FM25 wouldn't be a problem then (and probably make the 23 -> 25 move shouldn't be either)

I have an idea for the players instructions that is very helpful and not sure if does yet exists.
Why can't we give instructions while the players are attacking and these instructions changes while defending automatically

The real time transfers for the winter update has been a no-brainer to me for years. Ditto managers and staff.

I also thought we were getting woman's football too. What I would also like to see is the board being more open to improving facilities. I've gone from non league to championship, asked every year and they keep saying no. Our training is 5 our youth is 3.

Almost 20 years since LMA Manager and I still prefer there match/graphics engine, don’t get me wrong I prefer the details FM brings but LMA Manager just had a special feel to it.

SI have done a great job of enhancing the game over the years and it’s great to see that they have taken time to listen to players and work out how they can improve features year on year.

Other big devs should take notes on how to produce, maintain and release a WORKING title with VERY few bugs.

With the transfers you could do a video series which are like if (club) had a different summer window, where would they end up at the end of the season? etc

I'll be happy if SI make me able to have a transfer budget that's greater than 50m while my bank account is 200m
