Low Risk & Easy Scrap Farming in Rust

May i mention fishing, you can fish at both bandit camp or the fishing village.
By using 2 fishing rod and switch between them you can fish indefinitely if you don’t snap too many line.
You will get around 220 scrap per 10 minutes fishing at bandit camp, and around 250 at fishing village.
By using the drone at bandit camp you can exchange salmon and catfish for scrap at the fishing village vending machine, or just use the vending directly if you fish at village for salmon and baby shark.
This method is 100% risk free because like the farming in safe zone methods you cannot be killed or looted.
Fishing at bandit can be a bit better at the start of the wipe where everything is contested, because you can just fish at bandit and use the tier1 there to research most of the essential stuff(you can fish for 15 min for a db or 30 for a revi) and also this method can be use while you wait for the shite to restock at bandit camp for some extra scrap.
Extra tip: you can just safely gut anything that is not catfish salmon baby shark trout or perch, if you ran out of bait you can gut one salmon for 18 more bait, never gut/sell trout or perch because they can be use as a very powerful bait that guarantees a bigger fish or itself.

I've had sucess building a metal bunker shop in abondoned cabins and selling collected sulfur. Advertise shop as "8 rocket raid" and ensure you stock less sulfur than it's worth to raid.

Recently I've been putting bags down a square away from bandit along a road, then farming the road on the way to bandit. I usually end up with 40-50 scrap after recycling, then just gamble it on 20. If I lose, just F1 kill and try again, looting my body when I get back. If I win it's usually 1000+ scrap.

unsure how true but I've seen mil crates at mining very occasionally. could be a low low chance?

Here’s my experience with the paddle farming in safe zone. Great, but boring. It’s very hard to keep a shop alive without getting raided, however. What I like to do is when pop is high, I fill my vending machine and turn on broadcasting, while the rest of the day is spent collecting and recycling resources.
Building near outpost is a MUST, but don’t just build a 1x2. Atleast a 2x2 honeycombed base, so that a raid for your vending machine goods isn’t cheap.

Stop signs are easy, even at night, and are rarely farmed. Go down a street that was already looted and pickup the stop signs with peace of mind.

Me and my friend got a level 3 workbench and bought an LR-300 on day one using horses

gambling is the best method there is, however there is also risk but if you manage to stop yourself, easy workbenches

for those on console your best options are rig or Launch but your safest option is definitely the floating junk piles off the coast granted it has become more risky with the addition of rig it is still by far the safest early game method I have found it's just not that good mid-end wipe due to the lack of high tier comps from the mill/elite crates.

As a 2k hour chad just build next to launch and farm that shut and u can get a t3 under an hour on a high pop server

I'd love to see a video going in depth about monument loot respawn mechanics: do some respawn more quickly than others, how respawn timers are affected by server population, etc.

oxums actually have 4+ mil crates i think 5 possible

My technique to get scrap as a solo on a high pop server with a lot of clans is to plop down a 2x1 on the outer edge of the lighthouse where the building block is disabled. Works wonders :)

Top tip from player with 10k hrs- don’t farm scrap if ur down bad just snowball it makes u better and is more enjoyable

junkyard is a VERY GOOD way of getting scrap, if you bring at least 100 low grade you can get 600 scrap per run but if you have no low grade you can get 200 scrap per run

i have 7k hours in rust and i have never heard of half this shit, blew my mind when i saw you farming the roadsign things at the end

I only play solo and I find on a high pop building 2x1 near OP can get you a fair bit of scrap from around the area while staying relatively safe.

Hey man, I really loved this video. As a solo, i’m always trying to find new ways to get scrap and I really liked these new options. One of the main ways I use to get scrap is similar to your outpost idea, and I thought I should share. I like to break road signs to get pipes and signs, and then take these into outpost. Then, i get enough scrap to research double barrel shotgun and buy smoke grenades. By doing this, with just 4 road signs you can get 2 dbs and enough scrap to buy 3 smoke grenades. Then, by taking these double barrels down into the train system, you are able to camp the door of trains and farm other groups running tunnels. I know that this method is not 100% consistent and can be frustrating, but I saw others sharing and figured I might as well add my input. Again, great video, and you earned yourself another subscriber :)
