I have had the H5 since late 2014 and still learning how to use it properly. LOL!

There's an option to create backup recordings that are -12 db lower than set gain. This can be handy to record internally and splice/edit in post the 2 versions of set gain files, and lowered gain backup files. to patch up those spots that may have clipped.
