Windows 10 Hidden Features You Didn't Know Existed!

You don't need to go to properties to change color in cmd either. Just type color then two digits, one for background and one for text color. The 16 colors are assigned 0-9 and a-f, so it would be 'color fe' or 'color c3' etc.
You can also change the window title by typing 'title' then whatever text you want. It's meaningless but I like to use 'of the Living Dead' so mine ends up titled "Administrator of the Living Dead'.💀

Calculator is OK, but no financial or stats functions. Its much faster to do quick financial calcs: markups, TVM, bonds, etc and elementary stats from a calculator rather than Excel or SPSS (!). As it is I need to keep my HP10bII+ on the desk for such things, but can't cut and paste the result into a report. Big let down.

The random hardware and software failures which follow every Windows release are not so much hidden as predictable and certain whilst not being universal.

Why’s are these ten fixtures hidden? Shouldn’t they be in the open? The answer to all these pesky questions is: spend a little more and buy a MAC! I own both but use the PC as a door stop. LOL!

I run windows on my Mac in Boot Camp. I use the magic mouse 2. Mac scroll direction seems more natural to me and I would like to reverse the windows scroll direction but I cannot find the option to do this. Is it possible to reverse the scroll direction in windows with this configuration?

Charmap has been around forever. Was in accessories menu.

Why are some features in windows hidden? Why do people have to search for them, search the net, ask the pros? You are using this operating system and the user has no idea they are there. If you can afford the extra cost, BUY A MAC! Case close.

My favorite Windows trick:

If you are in Windows Explorer and need to open a command line at your current location, click on the folder icon in the address bar (just under the menu at the top). When the path turns into text, replace that text with 'cmd' (no quotes) and hit enter; a command line window will pop up positioned at that folder; no navigation required!

I really hate windows 10 with a passion! mainly it's because it really wants to show you "In Front Of Your Eyes! that they want to OWN YOU instead of the other way around! Hate it's automatic updating trype!! AND it KILLED MY EARPHONES! without any true sound strength anymore!!

I was getting to ''Personalisation'' through Start, Settings.

Rather than get into a geek-bate, I'll just say that anybody that deals with people in multiple time zones that doesn't know what time it is in those zones off the top of their head isn't a professional. In my job I regularly talk with people around the world. At any given time I an tell you what time it is in Dublin, Paris, London, Baghdad, Romania, Mumbai, Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei, Hawaii, L.A., Chicago, New York, basically every place there is. I don't have time to refer to some lame clock. If I had one for every time zone I deal with on a given day I'd like 12 clocks. Useless. Thanks for the effort for the video, though. Your introductory video graphics are outstanding. Stunning.

My suggestion is kinda off-topic, but I find it an indispensible tool to knoe what's going on with my system.

It's the Hexagora process monitor. It provides graphic monitors of processor usage, RAM usage, disk usage and internet usage.

If something slows down, a glance at this monitor usually lets me know the cause.

Correction: To use the Alt key codes for characters shown in the character map, you hold down the Alt key and then type the ASCII code for the character on the keypad. If you use the number keys across the top of the keyboard, it won’t work.
The keypad is on the right of a full keyboard. On a laptop, you have to hold down the Fn key and you usually find the keypad numbers on some of the letter keys towards the right-hand side.
