call me dumb or whatever but I looked at about a dozen resources about the concept could not get it , the moment I hit upon this lesson I knew i have finally stumbled upon what I was looking for so desperately , u r a great teacher knowing how to come down to a mediocre student mindset and start from the very scratch taking their mind to gradual higher concept , you are my man ,Cheers .

why 2^8 is used to calculate 8 bit image. my question is why "2" is used , of which to the power 8 gives 256 ?
