The level of delusion and toxic positivity the hardcore Tony Khan supporters have reached chase over half of aew's audience away. The more people act like conrad the more people will actively cheer for it to fail. The show is unbearable. Seeing the way people defend it is soooo cringe inducing. It's funny how none of them had much to say the next day when the AEW ratings came out-- what happened to the importance of weekly ratings all of a sudden?? I guess it's only fun to point out low ratings for WWE product and not AEW product for delusional toxic fans!'

Realistically, if you take away the Q1 bump from the Big Bang Theory lead-in, Dynamite is regularly averaging just above 500k and have been for a while now.

The last episode is one of the higher overalls they've had in a long time, and take away Q1 and the Overrun and they averaged 586k (include the overrun and it's 579k)... go back to the December 4th episode and without Q1 and Overrun and the real number was 570k (include the overrun and it's 558k) ... that Q1 lead in is giving them a bump of something like 30k+ per show to the overall but its by far and away the highest rated portion of every single show.

As for Khan-Mark Thompson here, jesus he's unbearable! Eric (and others) have been saying over and over again where AEW are going wrong, have been predicting these problems, and every time Conrad the fat mark refuses to accept it! There comes a point where, even if you disagree, if they are correct more often than not, and you are incorrect more often than not, that you have to admit that maybe these people know more about the wrestling business, how it works, what appeals to the broader audience then you and your internet mark geeks in the minority

April/May is very conservative. They haven't hit 700,000 since September, 800,000 since April. They'll be lucky to be getting over 600,000 consistently anytime soon. Sub 500,000 in 5-6 months times seems sort of inevitable

AEW is good for wrestling in terms of talent getting paid. Its not good in terms of all the phony shit they do in their ring. The nonstop chaos, the no selling of "big moves," and the lack of any logic or great storytelling whatsoever. Its a bad show to watch.

6 plus years ago, nobody had any problem hating on wwe. Everyone hated it. AEW exists because there was a window for a competitor to step up since the programming was such dog shit. And you had die hard, lifelong wrestling fans ready to walk away because the shows were so bad, the segments were bad, the matches were bad. AEW now is doing dog shit programming, with bad matches and bad segments, but Dave, Conrad, and most wrestling fans aren’t allowed to say “this just ain’t good” because there is this aura of platitudes that is expected at this point. No. We are allowed to say when anything sucks. The war games matches from survive series? They sucked. I can say that. The entire death riders angle in AEW sucks. I can say that. Ignoring the problem does nothing to solve it

AEW is a bigger joke than Nitro ever ended up becoming. At least Nitro didn't lose to a development brand. Imagine Nitro losing to essentially Sunday Night Heat. Thats whats happening now. AEWs honeymoon phase has long since ended. The only ones watching either are die hards or laughing at them as the interest dies a slow painful death. Tony will keep it going if he has to stream it on sites like Twitch to about 2000 viewers. Its gonna slowly happen.

You need to get back into reality and the reality is that AEW is, by any metric other than a TV deal which looks more and more unwise for WBD every single week, an utter failure.

It's not tribalism. Loads of people want AEW to be better, and Tony and Meltzer would rather pretend everyone is against them than change anything Tony is doing, no matter how badly its going over. Many of the AEW critics used to be AEW fans, or at least dreamed of it challenging WWE and re-starting the wrestling wars. Most of the WWE fans barely know AEW exists because they are more casual fans and WWE has cultivated that "WWE universe is all you need to know" for a long long time. What Tony really needs to fear is the critics going silent as its most of the engagement for his product right now.

Wrestling already is a niche thing and has a limited appeal. So in thst niche audience aew only appeals to a small portion of that audience and it's dwindling daily. It's a small portion that are constantly on social media,and believe that over choreographed stunts are what wrestling is.

As wwe continues to gain popularity and pull this small niche fans back eric will be proven right. By spring 500k will be a good number for aew
