Which do you think is easier to fly? That’s my bigger concern being a new flyer.

Wait for the Air 3 Classic (or 3S, whatever they end up calling it) in a year. They will drop the zoom camera most people will use twice and forget, give you a 1" main sensor rather than the downgraded 1/1.3" sensor they gave you in the Air 3, and it will cost a couple hundred bucks less. Even better, they will have worked the bugs out of the software (I've seen a bunch of reports on Facebook of this drone flying off or crashing, from people that have owned other DJI drones). You'll end up with a better drone, for less. Well worth the wait.

Great review. Several people are stating the camera in the air3 is identical to the mini3 Pro one.

Could you please share your source describing they are different?

Even DJI is not mentioning anything about the new stacked sensor on their website, so this is very strange.

If it is really new they should advertise it in capital letters...

Hello Aldryn. Overall, my impression of the Mini 3 Pro has a lot of excellent features and most of all the weight restrictions making it the best overall traveling drone. Especially traveling worldwide.
The new Air 3 has packed a lot of new sensors, including all new features for a drone of this size.

Love the Mini 3 Pro but the small size does play a negative factor when filming at the beach. Immediately get swarmed and attacked by seagulls vs a bigger platform like my Mavic 2.

Hi do you know yet whether the DJI Goggles 2 will work with the new Air 3 with it being 04 technology ?

Still rocking the original mavic pro😎 It’s temping to upgrade, but every time I look at the quality of the footage I can’t give any reason to upgrade. One of the main reasons I would want to upgrade is the added obstacle avoidance since I crashed my drone a few months ago and now I’m frightened to fly close to obstacles😂

Your comparison clips seemed to switch sides and color grades between them. Almost suggests you mistitled them?

The #1 reason you miss a great shot is not having a camera and i went from an Inspire all the way to the mini 3 pro. I flew the mini 3 pro in Iceland in the wind and rain over a lava field and it was stable and did great. At 249g it is the best option.

I was just about to order the m3pro in the beginning of june but boy am i glad i tore my knee ligament and had to trough a operation instead so i had to wait until now so i can buy air 3 instead lol

The 250 g is and will especially be an important consideration from 2024 here in the EU. If it were not, most would prefer the Air 3 since you get much more in quality (image, wind restistance, signal) for not much more money. But since the weight limit is a big practical obstacle, it’s Mini 3 Pro all the way.

In the UK it's a no brainer for me ... the Mini 3 Pro because of the <250g weight and the CAA flight rules for any drone >=250g.

This is great, can you explain the “upgrade” path. Do I pack up my Mini 3 Pro and send it back to DJI? How much credit do they give you for the “upgrade”? Title might be a bit misleading.

I currently have a DJI MINI 2, im looking at buying a new drone and tossed between the AIR 3 or Mini Pro 3 thoughts?

DJI mini 3 pro is MY CHOICE because I travel a lot and dji mini 3 pro is extremely portable and 7 spare batteries that I always have with me are also super light. I never use all those extra features that Air 3 comes with, plus I don't need to register my dji mini 3 pro with the FAA and because of its size, my dji mini 3 pro is subject to less restrictions.

Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from the air2? Beside having a smaller sensor with two cameras.

I don't think the Air 3 will sell very well, less than the other models. When I travel, I take the Mavic 3 and Mini 3 Pro and don't see me ever needing more. The Mavic 3 is great for telephoto, great color, wind, and low light. The Mini 3 Pro is for stealth when flying around people. Why pay for what I at least consider less than the Mavic 3, and lacking the stealth size and quiet of the Mini. I registered the Mini so I can fly with either battery.
