Too bad EC stopped playing like this after Layla.
ОтветитьIt is not that good.
ОтветитьI just hate Eric Clapton why he changed this guitar!!the sound is simply explosive. Amazing. I can't describe what i feel everytime ihear this tune.😊😊😊
ОтветитьCLAPTON was the first and foremost everyone sought to unseat- and no one came close, not Hendrix, Beck or SRV (who I love). CLAPTON IS THE HANDS DOWN BEST EVER despite Patti...
ОтветитьWow, I’ve never heard a Les Paul sound so fiery and fantastic. Just amazing
ОтветитьI think John Mayall is the most amazing person in the world. Look who he has given us.
ОтветитьClapton helped make this great Freddie King tune famous.
ОтветитьI miss epic sideburns.
ОтветитьI saw an interview with Stevie Ray Vaughan in which he cited this version of Hideaway for showing him that you could make the blues your own and didn't have to try to copy your heroes and inspirations exactly. He demonstrated a couple of key differences in the way Freddie King and Eric Clapton played the intro to show what he meant, gave me a whole new respect for what Clapton did on this album. In my opinion only Peter Green had as much credibility as a serious blues guitarist among the young English players back then.
ОтветитьA freddie king original...i think clapton and freddie bumped shoulderz here and there back in the 70s....damn near every other song freddie put out, was a fuckin hit. I honestly think clapton can do way more on guitar, but he just does what he does
ОтветитьThis is the good stuff, before he went commercial.
ОтветитьClapton near his peak sound - to me he would achieve that status when he played with Cream. Say what you will, but the tone, power and overall aspect of his playing was never the same when he switched to Fender guitars.
ОтветитьDude literally this is my dad fav song like when ever it pops up I raises up the volume❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьEric Clapton. Famous for his racist rant. Yawn.
ОтветитьHe copied Freddie (or Freddy) just exactly right. A labour of love and it shows.
ОтветитьEveryone has to remember he did this in 1966! There was no guitar sound or guitar playing like this anywhere on record. This was a time of Herman's Hermits for god's sake!
ОтветитьYo i love the pictures with Clapton and the les Paul dope asf
ОтветитьAmazing blues/rock guitar playing, especially for 1966. It still holds up today in my opinion as one of the best ever guitar instrumentals.
ОтветитьClapton is Good.
ОтветитьJust a quick note: Hideaway was also an inspiration to many of us young bassists at the time. McVie kicks serious and total ass.
ОтветитьI always use this song to demonstrate how good a guitarists Eric is to those younger kids who doubt
ОтветитьBest Version untill Peter Greene did it then you had a much polished version
ОтветитьClapton is superb
ОтветитьMarco una época
ОтветитьGreat song for a young guitarist to learn and master.
ОтветитьOne of the best collaborations ....ever !!
Ответитьgreat bass playing
ОтветитьThat Why?❤Eric Clapton is GOD
ОтветитьI have the original LP. It's scratched to f*ck now and gathering dust in my attic but it had such a huge effect on me. .
ОтветитьI have never been a huge Clapton fan as a guitar player, but this is really nice.
ОтветитьI may be old fashioned but I try to model my tone to this and some of his Cream stuff
ОтветитьLove the Music ♥️🎸♥️🎸♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟
ОтветитьJesus. 1965. The last time that Eric Clapton didn't suck. And the first time he really was "God" of the Les Paul and Marshall.
ОтветитьEh.
ОтветитьThis is not only a great song but a very well done video too, thanks.
ОтветитьHe should have done a solo.
ОтветитьFirst time that I heard this tune I thought it was Alvin Lee from Ten Years After !!!!
ОтветитьFreddie King
Ответитьwhat happened to EC, after 1966? must've been deep into heroin. :(
Ответить👍👍🌷🌹
ОтветитьYep best music ever. But listen to Page & Clapton's work in these songs "Chocker","Snake drive" etc, Guitar tone and choice of notes blows you away.
ОтветитьClean as a whistle.
Ответить1966, when you could buy a 59 LP for $200.!!
I wish someone would whisper in Eric's ear pick up a Les Paul again you fool!
The first time ever that a Gibson Les Paul guitar had been heard with a Marshall Amplifier, and, at Clapton's insistence (backed up by producer Mike Vernon), engineer Gus Dudgeon let Clapton crank up the Marshall to maximum volume. An immortal performance that still sounds good today.. Even future renowned axemen such as Ritchie Blackmore and Robert Fripp are known to have listened to this Bluebreakers album. As Bluesbreakers drummer Hughie Flint has said, that though the group was better live, that this album has become "A cultish benchmark for the British blues". I would add that it deserves that status.
ОтветитьGreatest guitar tone ever recorded.
ОтветитьAnd then came stevie🤯
ОтветитьMás lento no ahi
