As much as you may love and feel nostalgia for the original, after playing the remake from start to finish you cannot deny that it is an insane improvement to the experience. At least that is how I feel, I used to prefer the old less polished character models but the new ones grew on me with that replay.

The fact these clips are 10 years apart and the difference isn't even that massive is truly ground breaking! What NaughtyDog achieved on the ps3 engine should of got an award souly just for that alone.

No sorry it didn't look that bad with a pointy nose and a pointy chin 😂😂😂. Cmon content provider why did you put a thumbnail on there that looks like it came straight from PS1 era? It didn't look as bad as that I do know.

I didn't realize the graphics were that bad

remembering that the ps3 only had 256 MB of GDDR3 VRAM so think about the difficulty of optimizing a game to run on a console that didn't have those more powerful systems

I don't think people knew how much this remake was needed, the original game in its mechanics and graphics is so outdated, not to mention all the bugs and glitches the original and even the ps4 remaster had, i get people are mad at them charging full price for the game but i love the remake i have about 300h played across ps5 and pc

My family only can afford a PS3 since consoles are really expensive so when I played TLOU for the first time 5 days ago the graphics looked really good tbh.

Tess in the original looks like the original lara croft on ps1. Idk if I'm buying this. Everyone else looks way better except this one still shot.

I’m really glad they remastered it, and it looks better with each play station.

I still prefer the Remaster PS4 version. Art Direction will always be better than Realistic Graphics.

I think the PS3 was one of Sony‘s best Console!
They shoud go the way back and upgrade from this Time and quality!
I don’t say that’s the PS4&5 is bad but for the Price they can give us more!
I have all Consoles and Handhelds from them!

also, i played the remastered TLOU1 on ps4 so the original in this case is like the very first game before it was remastered correct?

I think we've been spoiled already by how much realistic games look nowadays. back in the day the original release really looked mind blowing and same goes for a lot of the games that released on the PS3. (although I'd argue out of all the games, Heavy Rain was the most pretty visual wise and it still holds up relatively well today)
