There's a lot of stuff that I ended up finding out later in terms of how much Snape protected Harry; his demonstration of Expelliarmus in the duel in part 2 (a defensive spell useful against curses), failing to give truth serum to umbrige via stalling and using fakes, counter-cursing Harry's broom and even looking the other way when knowing full well that Harry had his old potions book.

She is likely the proud parent or aunt of the player on James' team. Also the person on the plaque if they were a 7th year student would be only 37 years old at the time of teaching Harry. Which is not in line with Minerva's age at all.
