I’m definitely going to try that method. I’ve been filleting fish for probably 50 years, and I think you may have just saved me a step or two.
The way I do it, I take the rib cage out afterwards, which i just realized is not as efficient .
Thanks for the video, it’s great to learn new tricks even after many years!
Watched your video years ago, and have been using your system ever since! Many thanks. What lure and bait is your go to?
ОтветитьI just put 70 of them in my pond.
ОтветитьBait fish...?
ОтветитьHave you tried removing other fish rib bones with this method? Trout, Surf Perch (significantly larger)
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьI really need a good small knife because I love Perch and Trout but I suck at filleting fish
ОтветитьThanks bro bro!!!
ОтветитьAwesome video.
ОтветитьThe Rapala is a J Marrtinni knife from Finland. Finest filet knife I have ever used as well.
ОтветитьThe other nice thing about keeping smaller fish is the big guys tend to be producing the bulk of the offspring.
Ответитьgreat method
ОтветитьHard to find a fish, that taste better than perch!
ОтветитьWait, seven minutes and fifty eight seconds to demonstrate how to fillet a perch in 45 seconds? What's wrong with this picture??? Good lesson!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьCool...i am in ☺️
ОтветитьYou keeping the carcasses to show your knife path was amazing. Really helps!
ОтветитьSmart method.
ОтветитьNever cleaned this way before but I will be from now on, thanks for the video.
ОтветитьKill first.
ОтветитьI bet those carcasses/heads will make some good stock.
ОтветитьThose fish should have been killed and not left to suffocate ......... If you are going to eat fish kill them
ОтветитьYou can fillet the fish easier by skipping the chopping off of the head part. No need. Just cut the fillet up to the gills.
ОтветитьVery good tutorial - thank You !
A world famous Rapala knives from The Kingdom of Finland.
A company formed by angler Lauri Rapala (1905–1974)
I have a collection of 39 knives from this manufacturer.
They really do NOT need frequent sharpening.
Why ? A good quality, high class steel.
Good technique but kill your catch properly ffs. Only retards let the fish suffocate.
ОтветитьVery nice video but I love fried fishtail chips
ОтветитьIf you're going to keep and eat the fish, then kill it/them when you catch it/them, Muppet, 👍
ОтветитьWarum werden die Fische vorm filetieren nicht waidgerecht getötet???
ОтветитьSO TASTY!!!!
900-1000g is the best for fillet😋
Egg-breadcrum fry in Oil and dont forget salt😋😋😋
Man they look good!
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьCool… going fishing today in my Amish neighbors pond. He said it’s loaded with Perch, Bass and Cat and needs to be fished out. I haven’t cleaned a fish in 30 years! Lol glad I found your channel.
ОтветитьSuper🛷🌲🍄🌽🏕👋fon Serbien
ОтветитьOi mates I aged a bunch of perch and those nice 10” ones are about 8 years old on my lake 😮 let them big ol mamas go and keep the lil guys
ОтветитьI bought a rechargeable fish cleaner. Scales are cleaned easily and simply.
ОтветитьWhy the f dont you kill the fish you trash idiot
ОтветитьWhat bait do you recommend to catch perch
ОтветитьAwesome...... Greetings from Vineland, NJ ..... we have many lakes. ponds, rivers, and of course the Delaware Bay and the Ocean. Lots of Perch to catch..... I will be filleting my catch with your method...... All the best to you and yours..... Yummy!
ОтветитьRoger, ever fished the St. Lawrence Seaway? I have and there are BIG perch there that can be caught on small lures or minnows. Butterfield Lake has them, too. I wish I could go back there to visit, but I cannot drive that far anymore. Good Luck!
ОтветитьCongratulations on using the right size knife for the job.
ОтветитьThis would also be a fantastic technique for places where you need to leave some skin attached for travel with the belly skin intact like that just remove the carcass and take the skin and usable meat with you... when you get home just zap that meat off the skin and good to go. Also totally agree with the knife got one that was my granddads that is probably 50+ years old and one of my own that is probably 20 years old... both have seen hundreds if not thousands of fillets and are still doing it beautifully.
Ответитьi just remove the guts and scales, then deep fry them and eat them whole.
ОтветитьGreattttt job Buddy,,CLEAN AND FAST THANKS
ОтветитьTy Roger, another video that not only taught me something but I saved it for a reminder! I wish I could catch perch like that because they are my favorite meal , they are here in my lake where I live and probably plentiful, I just need to be educated on where and how to catch them
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьThat was amazing. I've never seen this method for smaller perch. Great video and easy to follow.
ОтветитьYou no comen la guevera
Ответитьwhat about the wings lol
Ответитьa wise man throws out the little fish
ОтветитьI started catching perch on a cane pole better than a spinning reel
