Greetings from the LooseNatural farm in Andalusia Spain where we currently live through a drought and we fail on cuttings. Thank you for sharing this video
ОтветитьThank you for a most helpful video.
ОтветитьNice content ! thanks
ОтветитьThanks so much...much appreciated
ОтветитьThis is definitely the best video i have seen on this topic. Very useful information. Thank you very much. 😊
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic vid. Thank you for your wisdom and may God bless you.
ОтветитьExcellent video. I learned alot, and actually joined the FB site that he recommended in this video. Thanks for some very useful information.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge.
ОтветитьMy mother had an award winning garden taken from cuttings. Admittedly she was an incredible gardener too.
ОтветитьI was able to propagate 3 roses with 100% success. Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьThank you so very much for this video, it was very informative & I learnt something new. I really appreciate your knowledge & giving up your time.
ОтветитьThanks indeed. Very informative and organized presentation with no unnecessary talk. ❤
ОтветитьThanks for the vid, I propagate citrus and do tissue culture in Vancouver. It is very effective but a bit more work to tissue culture but pays off. Can you air layer roses?
ОтветитьGreat video and I joined the FB group, thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this information! Hopefully, I can put it to use to increase my cutting success.
ОтветитьThanks for the rational content, when I saw 'propagate with banana/aloe' I couldn't imagine wth they were going on about. I have propagated a few house plants using water with great success but never added anything to it. I was looking for specifics on how to propagate ixora and found all sorts of woo woo videos, claiming propagation magic. SMH that people believe it amazes me, they are plants so it's science. I had an odd propagation occur with a rose from a supermarket, it sprouted roots sadly I was unable to plant it because I lived in an apartment but it survived for several months in just tap water and had quite a root system. I don't use the 'plant food' that comes with flowers so idk why or how it developed roots. I also have an actual plant that grew from a sweet potato that I failed to use, it sprouted a vine so I stuck it in a pot and it's been growing for a year now, not exactly propagation but another odd paragraph in my houseplant journey. But certainly not through adding bananas, aloe or other fruit, just water and soil. Thanks again for the informative content.
ОтветитьGood 👍 video
ОтветитьThank you so much for all the structured information in your video!
We are now on attempt number 4, rooting rosemary. However, here in Africa we do not have particularly good conditions for getting cuttings, as we only get them from the market - and by then the (cutted) rosemary has usually been on the road across the country for days.
Nevertheless, it is now the case that some of the cuttings are putting out new light green tips, but unfortunately still no roots after 6 weeks. It's 31°C here, the rosemary is in semi-shade and in a jar and gets fresh water every day. Shall we darken the glass?
What can we do?
Today is my first time trying a cutting for anything. This really helps!
ОтветитьWhat a blessing this video is to me. Thank you!!
ОтветитьIf you notice the black stuff starting, is there a way to stop/reverse that process (or is it already too late at that point)?
ОтветитьExcellent video. Very educational.😊
Ответитьaloe/ willow / kelp will help with rooting.
ОтветитьBrilliant video! Thank you.
Just a quick question when is the best time to take Rose cuttings?
Thanks again😊
Such helpful and well-delivered content! Thank you! 🤎
ОтветитьHot water and soap is enough to sterilise any shears for practical use
ОтветитьGood info... I never take a cutting without looking it up if I don't know the specifics... Get good info, and follow those practices, then control environment. cheers! Great video!
ОтветитьCutting fail when those who don't know follow foolish advice from boneheads who post to hurt others attempts. This guy knows what he's talking about. So many others are just evil.
ОтветитьMuchas gracias
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI really appreciate you sharing this with us :)
ОтветитьCan I still have success without rooting hormone? And can I do this outside?
ОтветитьThis really is excellent lol a lot of great tips and advice but also lots of resources for even more info. Great channel right here.
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video. It’s literally exactly the video I was trying to find. I learned this winter I’m apparently an awful indoor Gardener, once flowers get to small plants they always rot and die. So I’m bummed I’ve had such poor luck with cutting propagation. 😔
Ответитьfinally i found no nonsense source of information, thank you!
ОтветитьI just wanted to thank you for the excellent video
ОтветитьVery great help,
ОтветитьAha, that's why my first time ever cuttings have been succeeding, whereas the semi hardwood cuttings have been failing. Higher temps, more light, more moisture and humidity, all of which are present during a near drought here in Missouri this year at the start of June.
I've been taking softwood cuttings of this rose, filling clear plastic containers with yard dirt, sticking them in the blistering sun but watering them daily and spritzing the leaves occasionally. I'm trying to line a driveway with these roses, and it's gotten to the point where I'm just putting the cuttings straight into their permanent home to see whether they'll grow roots like that.
I’ve tried several times to root wild roses from cuttings. Fail. Fail. Fail. Gonna try again!!!
ОтветитьThank you! Really! I've been getting really quite upset with myself. This was so helpful! God bless you sir 🖤
ОтветитьFirst time viewer. Nice to see you jump right into it!
ОтветитьYou are very good with your instructions on doing roses I've got my first rose planted thank you
ОтветитьI'm assuming a bit but are you grafting?
ОтветитьVery great help, I like that you discussed the problem why it does not work. So far, I was not able to propagate roses, carnations, geraniums... I try with many plants, for my place, or community garden.
Also that you share your secrets, which many do not.🙏
Mine rooted, shooted and was looking so promising with a LOT of new growth but then I noticed a dark stem and then the whole think ford very quickly .. trying to figure out what happened. It was actually growing in my compost which maybe a mistake and way too moist ? Thank you for you videos!! New subscriber here ❤
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI am trying to root cuttings from a 30 yr old rosemary pink majorca. I put them in seed starting + cactus/succulent soil in terra cotta 3” pots. Started with cuttings in winter but no luck. Spring is now gone and those cuttings went awry also. I live in Phoenix so no humidity in winter or spring—put the pots inside a plastic bag and spritzed them too much as they got fuzzy! I’m still trying but hitting the sweet moisture spot is not easy. I have been using 5” long cuttings with half the leaves stripped off. I may try shorter cuttings and pay attention to the node position. Wish me luck.
ОтветитьProblem is my environment. Its a backyard in midwest
ОтветитьWhat brand of rooting hormone do you use and how to use it.
ОтветитьDoes the Aloe Vera trick and banana/honey / garlic trick really work for growing roses from hips?
