I feel like King Kong 1933 would be too small to be a match for Godzilla but could easily escape Godzilla by outsmarting him. Heck I could even imagine kong grabbing a pole and piercing Godzillas neck if he could get a building to reach it. (Kong would also be much faster than Godzilla.) This is just my opinion though.
