Hey Sean… I have a question maybe you or others have insight on this. Before I post a video it always ask what language. I’m in America and I speak English so I always select (American English)… My question is there are multiple choices on English for example there is English Canadian or English Mexico.. If I were to select one of those do you think it would push my videos to a different audience of viewers in Canada or Mexico depending on what I selected. Please let me know if you have any experience in trying that in the past.

Hello, I speak both English and arabic very fluently, I don't mind having either audiences tbh. what other factors should I look into?

I'm French Canadian and i live half the year in English Canada so i speak both all the time. My target audience is the entire world. They speak all languages. I pick the language i feel more comfortable doing the video in according to topic and i subtitle in the other language. Those are great insights. I want to make more videos in French because it does feel better. The feel in the mouth isn't the same, French is a lot crisper and to a French person, speaking English feels like having your mouth full of potatoes. I also feel like a sell out like the portuguese person told you and i feel more like myself in French. Maybe i'll do more videos in French where the vibe is better, subtitle them, and see what happens. I also tend to make more French vlogs when i'm in Québec and revert to English when i'm in Vancouver. My French is of course stronger or at least more natural but i am pretty much 100% fluent in both so it's not about language ability, which i find makes the choice even harder. Also i find it interesting that a person who speaks only one language would do a video on that topic. I sometimes envy people who doNn't have to make that choice... but i know that the more languages you speak, the "richer" you are. I just wish auto generated subtitles weren't so bad 🤦‍♀

What would you recommend to do if I started a channel in my native language, uploaded 12 video, reached 500 subscribers and now decided to change the language to English. Better to start a separate channel in English or use what I got from the first one. Which is better form the algorithm perspective?

I have a question that is really annoying me. I have a channel in Portuguese (Brazil) but I live in US. When I upload a video, there are 3 options, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazil and Portuguese Portugal. If I choose only Portuguese, am I going to reach all the countries that speak Portuguese? I’m worried about choosing Portuguese Brazil and my vídeo be suggested only there.

English is the best language, it's actually kinda weird when you think about it. All other languages sound like alien to me

What about two language title good or bad. For example : Intermediate Switch Wiring / Свързвнане на Кръстат ключ . This is good or bad idea ?

I am thinking to start yt channel, My native language is polish however I live in the UK (currently living in Spain doing my year abroad from Uni). I would like to open lifestyle channel and also share my experience of living in 3 countries.
In one of the comments you said that contrary is better - living in UK/Spain and doing yt in Polish however english is more universal language and it also could be opportunity to keep improving my English.

My channel is to help people learn & speak french. At beginning, I spoke only french in my videos, including thumbnails and titles. Didn’t get many views. Now I combine English AND French in my videos and I use mainly English for my titles and thumbnails. I started to get more traffic on my channel.

My channel Default language satting is english but video language is others so may i could change video languages hindi bengali or english (india) in my same channel ?

Greetings Sean. Thank you for this video. Right now, I'm deciding the language for my WIP channel and I have decided to do it in English and provide subtitles in my native language. The question is how much could it be disturbing for English-speaking audience if there will specific videos in my native language (not every person I would like to interview speaks English) and add English subtitles? Thank You or anyone that have been doing this in the same way or something like this.

i need some assistance on this, i been thinking the same too, Spanish or English in Spanish feels like home, but in English, there is a better chance to grow. also, i live in the USA so i don't know if i should make content in spanish.

I've made 5 videos of the same content - but in 5 different languages. I've startet 5 different channels - each for each language - Polish, (my native l), English, French, Spanish and Ukrainian Russian. Do you think that it's a good a good idea? The videos teach English. I have no views so far ( a couple of days) - I get a bit frustrated...:) Is it better to make videos only in English?
