I understand Marzocchi's thing is bright red color....but god does that make it look like a department store bike. If/when I buy this bike, the first thing I'm doing is painting it. Horrible.

I got this bike as my first full Suspension mtb. And so far its performance is shockingly amazing. Its definitely something to learn on. Especially as I'm a first timer.

What are some reasons someone would go for the 27 instead?

Great video guys , after months of waiting finaly ordered one of these bikes , sadly not the 29 but still expecting a huge upgrade compared to my hardtail Kona Fire Mountain , cant wait to get this on the trails the weekend !

I work in a bike shop and after riding the 10 speed 11-46 on the mythique vr, I can say that i prefer it over SRAM eagle SX 11-52 that was on a carbon hardtail. Just shows that going with the biggest range isn't always the best, the SX shifter is awkward and hard to use and the shifting feels clunky overall.

if only they built more than 10 of them at a time. still waiting for the latest iteration 2 years later.

Man, I keep looking at this bike. I ride a trail hardtail currently and just need something more capable while still having that "under-biked" ethos. A bike I can hit the bike park with but not be out of place on my local singletrack. It has good geo, solid spec and that fork is a gem. All I would do to it would be 4 piston brakes (and cockpit upgrades) and a better shock (maybe coil). Just eveywhere else I look, Vitus seems to have the best bang for your buck...

Unfortunately the spec for the US market through Wiggle is not sporting any of the Rock Shox or Marzocchi suspensions, which is unfortunately a big downgrade from what is listed on the Vitus website.

Currently price gouged to $2350+ to consumer as of today.

I got a Vitus Sommet and the geo is great, i had to upgrade the fork and now it is a beast. Quite often you are just paying too much for the brand name 🤷‍♂️

Unstable at speed and rewards smart line choices, but fastest and second fastest in the test! It's not always about making everything easier. That's what they meant by reward line choice. It means rewards skill. Great bike for a more competent, aggressive rider.

this frame look veeerryy much like my 2016 motobecane hal6. Which had fully locking suspension, 160mm front 150mm rear, similar parts and was only $1599

Yeah that's one thing that has always attracted me to vitus is the lack of need to upgrade the components, nearly all their machines come with good or a great package

Is the market really overwhelmed right now or what's going on? I've been watching countless videos on sub $2k bikes and every single one is sold out in every size. My next step is a local shop but for these direct to consumer bikes, which happens to be the ones I find myself liking most, what is going on.
