crimea is not russia? well now it is lol
ОтветитьPerhaps Crimea was the last "old war"? Its tactics and its generals were of Napoleonic War vintage
. The first modern war might well be the Boer War 1899-1902.
That’s not what the tsar meant by saying that; but it doesn’t matter, as it’s absolutely not Ukraine.
ОтветитьGreat Britain is the immortal enemy of a free Europe
ОтветитьBattle of Sinop was won not only because of new weapons, but also because of new tactic: Nahimov order to attack in 2 columns and focus attacks on both turkish flag frigates instead of forming one line. Also no mention for ally fails to siege Solovetsky Monastery in White Sea, death of 2nd in command in Sevastopol - admiral Kornilov, or russians deliberately sunk their Black Sea Fleet in harbor in end of 1855
ОтветитьAustria was worried that Russia liberating the balkans would encourage rebellions among their own oppressed subjects. Just think about that. Imagine Russia being a champion of the oppressed and downtrodden
ОтветитьIt amazes me how often historians refer to the 19th century as a peaceful period in Europe almost devoid of land War. The Crimean War was not the only well recorded war to take place. And the fighting between the various navies hardly discount the land battles and sieges.
Moreover historians of WW1 concentrate on the great land empires of Europe while simply leaving out the Ottoman Empire which was this account integrated with an allied with other major European Empires. We are still dealing with the consequences of the fall of the Ottoman Empire
Is the Leo Tolstoy quoted the same Leo Tolstoy who wrote War and Peace?
Ответить20/24 😂Hu nothing new with the English army here kit out of date 😂😂😂😢
Ответить“Crimea River”
- Justin Timberlake
Excellent work here Gentlemen

ОтветитьThe Crimean War by Orlando Figues one of the best books that I've ever read I truly recommend this one to anyone who is interested in the intense relations between the Great Powers in the XIX Century.
ОтветитьThanks Britain and France for having endorsed a state which empoverished the Balkans for 500 years...much appreciated 😡
ОтветитьCenturies of anti Russians and wars on them has failed, and is it now they can do it when Russia is armed with the world's largest nuclear heads and the most deadly hypersonic missiles?😂😂
ОтветитьQuestion for Germany why you took so many Turks knowing our history?
ОтветитьVery bias lol alot of poor dodgy information
ОтветитьIt's been reorganized and is under new management, but the current "Last Crusade" started in 1947 and the Crusaders are now called Israelites.
❤🇵🇸❤🇵🇸❤🇵🇸❤
The History begaier...as we see today in Ukraine. Russia have always this feeling that the west hate them. It's not totally untrue, invasion of Russia always came from the west, in the same they have to belong to the Europeans but in fact they are eurasian, and many west people, artists, writer, architects, danse, painter...and so on admire the russian civilisation, as I do.
ОтветитьTurkey Zindabad 💓❤️💞💝✊🙏
ОтветитьRussia zindabad 💝💞❤️💓✊🙏
ОтветитьWas it mentioned that Marx and Engels wrote against the Russian Empire and Russian Orthodoxy during this war? I guess after all they were allowed to agitate in peace in Britain.
ОтветитьOne could say Operation Barbarossa was a crusade.
ОтветитьDidn't realise Chris Pratt was involved in the Crimean war.
ОтветитьNothing much about Russian Army in the words of Leo Tolstoi haa changed
ОтветитьMenomale che ci sono i sottotitoli in 🇮🇹
ОтветитьSounds like a kid reading a book report
ОтветитьTwisting the Tsars words to justify g3n0c!de on Russian Civilians is a different kind of stoopid
ОтветитьAny information of the 38th Staffordshire 1st of foot as my great great grandfather served in the Crimea and later onto the Indian Rebellion
ОтветитьWe in the West don't remember the Crimean War - the Russians do.
That fact should weigh a lot more heavily in our modern geopolitical considerations. The War in Ukraine is proof of that.
Yet again Protestants and Catholics siding with r4p1st Turks instead of suffering Christians.
Ответить(Every person playing this in the background, nine minutes in, slamming fist on table) LORD PALMERSTON!
ОтветитьIt was once again the French! (Said with tongue in cheek, before you react!) 😂
ОтветитьIt's interesting to watch this excellent video and then draw parallels to the present day war in Ukraine.
Imagine how Russian's feel about Crimea after all this history.
where were the ukrainians?
Ответитьso crimea was always russian...?
ОтветитьIt was never about religion, just an excuse for a greedy psychopath. And history repeats itself today.
ОтветитьExellent video and very relavant today. You earned a new subscriber.
ОтветитьMy great great grandfather came out of prison and joined the Staffordshire 1st of foot and saw action in the Crimea and later in India during the great uprising, he was married so allowed to take his wife and later children
ОтветитьRussia was always surrounded by evil group of enemies
ОтветитьThe French and British were idiots in supporting the Ottomans at that time. If they joined forces with Russia to crush the Ottomans then they wouldn't have to fight them in the first world war
ОтветитьThe most important geopolitical result of this war?
Russia holds a grudge against the British but likes the US, hence sells Alaska to the Americans.
The British are not invited to bid otherwise today Alaska might be part of Canada !
Russia was a different country under the Tsars. Today it is a frustrated backseat driver with China the vehicle, & the west the target.
ОтветитьReligion strikes again.
