As a Australian it’s not scary 😂😂
ОтветитьI went on the dc today I almost passed out loved it
ОтветитьI’m only ten and I went backwards on this thing it was the most crazy experience in my life
ОтветитьTo anyone who wants to go on this but is scared of the drop or just rollercoasters in general; This ride is very low ranking scare-wise. Really the only scary bit is the ride to the top, since it's a bit slow. I'm a person who does get a bit frightened when a ride has a huge drop, I always chicken out at the last minute. I sucked it up and went on the ride (mainly due to the amount of time I waited in line) and let me tell you I barely felt that drop at the start. Yes, I felt like I was falling a little but it was no where near as scary as I thought. I think it's the seats and safety harness stopped that feeling, since they push the harness down a lot. The ride is also incredibly short when you're riding it. I timed it when I went the first time and it was 1.5 minutes. The 0.5 is just the ride to the top. The main thing I loved about this ride is the wave bit at the end. You get this sort of feeling like you're lifting off your seat due to the speed but it is honestly the best section in my opinion. The ride is also insanely smooth so it really just feels like you're gliding on air.
ОтветитьOnce waited 2 hours to go on this ride. They only have one cart which means you have to wait for the other riders to finish, which is understandable but is quite annoying when it's a hot day. They also have mist fans in the queueing section which surprised me at first. I'll also say I would've only waited around 1.5 hours but the ride broke down due to maintenance but my friends didn't want to lose their spot in the queue so we waited. Luckily some people brought a blow up ball so it kept the people entertained for a while. Was it worth the 2 hour wait? Definitely not. Was it the best coaster in the park? Yes. Would I recommend it? Absolutely yes. Also hot tip, if you don't want to wait in the queue for a long amount of time like I did, just go in the single riders line. You wont be seated next to your friends but it will save you so much time. There's always a single seat on every run so you'll be able to get on the ride quickly.
ОтветитьWet N' Wild (waterpark) is located right next to Movie World and you can see the hyper coaster from anywhere in the park. I would often watch people riding the coaster whenever I was queueing up to go on a waterslide.
ОтветитьI personally live in Australia and never go over seas so this roller coaster is so incredible
ОтветитьThe initial drop is approximately at an 89 degree angle.
ОтветитьAbsolute awesome ride I absolutely love it. It exceeded my expectations
ОтветитьThis ride is absolutely fantastic from start to finish. And riding backwards is certainly worth the money but it is intense
ОтветитьThis is the coaster i faced my rollercoaster fear on, now i can go on any coaster
ОтветитьIf you think about it this roller coaster is very similar to kondaa, like extremely similar.
They both start with a drop that turns to the right, they both have almost the same height and speed. They both then have a large airtime hill. They both have a non inverting version of an element that normally inverts. They both have a few snappy turns midway through the ride, they both end with a few bunny hills.
I bet a zero-G roll or a banked ejector hill would replace that helix perfectly.
ОтветитьRidden this ride 10+ times, backswards 2 times, absolutely legendary, but as a local to these parks, I dream of visiting the USA and going to cedar point, and all those six flags parks, my dream rides are maverick, velocier coaster, king da ka, top thrill 2 and obviously, steel vengeance. For those wondering, yes everything he said in this video is true. Everything is absolutely amazing except the middle corners. As someone yet to experience many of the top coasters, this is a solid 9/10 for me. Backseat obviously 11/10.
ОтветитьIt looks fun but fury325 the 🐐 right now
ОтветитьYou really should do a list of Roller Coasters That Would Be Cool With A Backwards Train Or Seat
ОтветитьThose boring slow helixes in the middle of the ride are annoying like fury 325. Take out that helix on fury and you have Orion which I personally like better. Anyway, that 1st drop and noninverted loop at those speeds looks great!
ОтветитьThe backward up the lift hill reminds me of x2 at Magic Mountain, one of my favorite parts of x2 actually, a perfect coaster, except it’s a little too short.
ОтветитьThis would be perfect in vortex plot of land
ОтветитьGreat video as always....listening to your review I always try to guess the score you're gonna give and I Nailed it this time.... but the reason for typing this is you mentioned other coasters you'd like to see do the backrow upcharge on...I think this is a great video for you and Sarah to sit down and debate...I mean discuss
Safe travels.... keep shining and ignore the hate cause it's just confused love
✌️
Do a poll which has the better first drop nitro or el toro please?
ОтветитьDid you hear about Fury 325?
Ответитьthe comment about the lifthill backwards is so true, that was by far the most terrifying rollercoaster experience i've had
Ответитьits not top 5 because of GP being a bunch of babies about intense coasters
ОтветитьI live in the Gold Coast lots of us got year passes and enjoy these theme parks every weekend. movie world, wet n wild, SeaWorld, paradise country. great places.
ОтветитьThe “rumble seat” is amazing…would automatically give it a 10 rating for that
ОтветитьLoved my time on this epic rollercoaster!
I was very lucky at the end of my day. Managed to get the final ride on the backwards seat. Once we returned to the station, 1 guy was in line… So I asked if we could jump back on. We then got the front row! Two runs at it was heaps of fun!
Sadly going to America or Europe is big money… But to have DC rivals do close to me with so many elements that other coasters have, it’s awesome! The park has done well to compete with other coasters around the world 👍
Great review Taylor! I agree with your points. In spite of a lackluster mid-section it’s my fave 🎢 here in Aus. Another thing that I would’ve liked is an outerbanked turn instead of the Stengel Dive like on Kondaa 😄
ОтветитьHey dumb question maybe, but did you guys not go back to Parc Asterix for Toutatis when traveling Europe?
Ответитьi actually really like the helix! it’s pretty intense
ОтветитьI love coasters, but waiting is kinda a waste anymore at my age. And, I refuse to pay more than 50$ to enter a park, nor pay more than 15$ to park or 25$ to eat.
ОтветитьYou have to talk about the crack on fury 325
ОтветитьDid you hear Fury 325 had a major crack?
ОтветитьI kown Mack's are expensive, is this more expensive than a B&M Hyper?
ОтветитьI really want to see more of these, especially airtime over inversions focused ones like this.
ОтветитьBACKWARDS I305 WOULD BE INSANE
ОтветитьBeen waiting for this one! Great review, very fair. We love our big pink coaster down under!
Ответитьive been saying this same thing about that middle section for the last year…it just didnt match the start or the end for me and it stops it from being one of the world’s best
ОтветитьWhich WB park is better? The spanish one or this?
ОтветитьI just got over my fear of roller coasters with ides like leviathan and moving to dc was pretty good. I agree with you as i just rode this 4 time in the past 3 days that the helix just extends or feels like it goes for to long or just doesn’t go through it fast enough. I would love to see you review leviathan. If you have ill go watch it
ОтветитьI live in Australia and I think this is a good review. Although I never had a problem with the rides pacing because on the days I went it was running fast and it was hot, the helix was forceful and taken Quickly and the transitions were powerful. The ride looked like it was running slow in the footage you showed especially through the helix so if you ever make it back give the ride another chance and Superman:) The backwards seats are just downright mayhem and this ride has a really imposing presence throughout the park and the area, it just towers over everything for miles around. I also think that the backwards seats are actually kind of nerve racking aswell and especially going up the lift hill and the drop aswell as the non inverted loop. Also, where would you rank the regular seats and the backwards seats respectively in your top 100?
ОтветитьI was waiting for your review guys and here it is!
Since Movie World has been my home park for a few years now, I absolutely agree with the moments within the layout you just pointed out. That helix feels lame, and surprisingly slow! However, it works as a little moment to take a breath for what you just experienced lol This is an excellent coaster and I still remember my first time riding it back in 2018 as it was yesterday, all shaky, huge adrenaline rush. The backwards seat is not for everyone, such an intense ride but definitely worth it. I'm glad you guys had the chance to come an experience it :) love your work guys! :D
People should not pay extra for the backwards seat. If the line would be to long then put more trains backwards…. There is no upcharge for the operation so why should people pay an uncharged price then….
We should not accept idiotic policies like this.
Hi, so cool my son watches all your vlogs, we live in the Gold Coast Australia, he was watching your new dc coaster vlog and just by chance he is in it, front row blue shirt 3.22 in to the vlog. It has made his day.
ОтветитьI wanna do backwards but I am so scared to do it haha. how can I prepare myself
ОтветитьI find it funny that if you're American, you don't get to ride MACK Hyper Coasters, but if you live in Australia, you don't get to ride B&M Coasters, because there isn't any. But anyway, nice review and I'm glad you enjoyed it because it is a great one.
ОтветитьI'm more of a quality over quantity type of guy on coasters so if there's one dead spot I don't mind at all if there are amazing moments like the non inverting loop so this would probably be a 9.5/10 for me and kondaa would too
Ответитьcant wait for thorpe park to get one! thats my local park
ОтветитьI experienced Hollywood Dream Backdrop in USJ and it's AWESOME! Music onboard and everything.
ОтветитьYeah I think this review is pretty fair. The backwards seat is just absurd, but from the footage it looked like it was running a little slow, personally I never had a problem with the helix. If it was a bit hotter like when I visited the helix is a lot better paced and very forceful and the transitions are more powerful as well. Great review, if you ever come back, give it another shot and super man as well:) Also, I agree with the presence that this ride has, and doing it backwards for the first time is pure intimidation, especially the lift hill drop and non inverted loop:)
